Re: JP-8000 issue.

Thanks AlphaC. I thought as much, but wanted to be sure it wasn't another issue besides the battery. Thanks again!

Re: Gear Trading Thread

I'm in the Chicago suburb of Glen Ellyn and I'm looking to trade a few things. I'm much more open to trades that are local as I don't have a car so coming to me would be the way it would work. I'm not totally against trades outside of the Chicago area but it would have to be a trade I really want to...

JP-8000 issue.

So I start up my JP-8000 and the initial Roland start up appears on the screen. Then, something else is said before it shows the preset and it's a message of "Corrupted memory." Also, after that message leaves the screen and it displays the preset I'm currently in, a "Low battery!" message is there ...

Re: Analog Solutions Leipzig VS. Arturia MiniBrute

The Rogue and MG were 2-osc. That's correct. Sorry about that slip of the fingers lol. They were two OSC. The minibrute has a lot of waveshaping possibilities however as has been pointed out and I like the sounds I've heard so far from it. I will be grabbing one due to my love of analog monosynths.

Re: Analog Solutions Leipzig VS. Arturia MiniBrute

Yeah the Leipzig is a dual VCO synth. It's a great sounding synthesizer with a lot of punch and low tones to die for. The Leipzig also has a great LFO that you can detune to at minimum and maximum setting it bumps up and down one octave. Kinda cool in my opinion. It's filter is sweet too. Great LPF ...

Re: Analog Solutions Leipzig VS. Arturia MiniBrute

That is a valid and I would have to say correct response. I didn't think about the fact that it isn't out yet being a factor. I had watched the youtube videos of the MiniBrute and I do own a Leipzig but haven't used it much. Kudos old cynics FTW lol.

Analog Solutions Leipzig VS. Arturia MiniBrute

The Leipzig is an amazing monosynth and there's no doubt about it. It's got a great tone and it's got a great low end rumble that's very sweet to the ears. However, the new Arturia MiniBrute is looking to be equally amazing and at half the cost (499.00 USD) of the Leipzig. I would have versus-ed lol...

Re: New Moog apparently...

I :giveheart: Novamusik... They have all of my money, and I have about 20 of their shirts! :D Lol I have tons of their shirts, never really wear them except at home. I would say over half the things I have bought I have acquired from Novamuzik. Those guys rock. Dude I've got the same deal going wit...

Re: New Moog apparently...

I already pre-ordered mine at Nova Musik. They're taking an additional 50 off for preferred buyers. So 559.00 for that bad boy, it's totally worth it! Definite pick up for my studio.

Re: The Official Oberheim OB-12 Thread

I have an OB-12 and I love the thing. It's a purely underrated synthesizer and yes it was manufactured by Gibson so it has not an inkling of resemblance to other Oberheim synthesizers. However the fact that the synth forces you to create sounds rather than just plug along with the presets (which at ...

Re: New Native Instruments "Damage"

It's a totally viable software synth for industrial/ebm/dnb musicians in my opinion. If those styles aren't what you favor though you'd be better off getting something else from Native Instruments. The Retro Machines mk2 software is really good and flexible. So is Transistor Punch for Maschine.

Re: Elektron Machinedrum, Personal Experiences?

I have to agree with those that have given the Machinedrum a positive response. It's an amazing drum machine that does transcend a lot of the older drum machines unwavering dedication by most. However, I just sold my Machinedrum to get a Tempest from DSI and I have to say that the Tempest is a beast...

Re: Korg Kronos vs Jupiter 80 (Roland)

I like the Kronos in this versus thread. It's got a lot of cool stuff as previously mentioned going on under the hood and all the samples, virtual patching and plug ins on board all run by an SSD make it a monster of a workstation synth if that's your bag. I really don't see the Jupiter 80 as a work...

Re: Korg Monotribe ?

Super happy with my two Monotribes. I quite like the link cable to run multiple units through one's internal clock. The BD is amazing sounding and there's a lot of power in these small wonders. I wish the internal speaker was a little better but hey, it sounds rough and tough through my monitors and...
