Re: Its been a while, but I'm back and need gear advice
Well I was just enticed to the IK stuff by the ads, if theres someone talking in a patch I might stay away haha. So I will definitely stick with Logic and Mainstage for my synths. And I suppose I can put off getting an audio interface until I start getting gigs.

Its been a while, but I'm back and need gear advice
I used to post here frequently when I was first getting into synths, now I am off to college and need to refine my setup. I've already decided that I am getting a 15.4" Macbook Pro(2.0ghz i7 model) with logic studio 9, and I plan on getting an 88-key hammer-action midi controller as I am primarily a...

Re: Restructuring my setup
Well, the es is a great unit, but ive found its a lot easier to just do my drums in ableton live, so i havent even been using the es. Its just to much of a hassle to get all the samples on their and resample them and everything instead of just doing em all in ableton live(or whatever DAW). I need a ...

Re: Restructuring my setup
just an honest opinion. Man, sit on a chair in front of your synths, and look at them on a different way. I'm just trying to give you a different perspective and not going to tell you exactly what you want to hear, but sometimes who needs a change is the musician and not the gear. with those machin...

Re: So my buddies and I are starting a band...
I have an MS2000R and it's vocoder is pretty good IMO(though I am selling it). It depends on how clear you want it to sound.

Re: Restructuring my setup
So what does the Fusion have in terms of PCM and sounds it has on there? I need pianos, eps, organs, clavs, all those keyboard things.

Re: Restructuring my setup
Well, i looked on ebay and didnt see anything under like $600 in completed. I really am only seeking 1 hardware synth, and 1 rompler type thing. How would you compare the PCM on a fusion to a qs7 or quadrasynth?

Re: Restructuring my setup
Well I've checked out the AN1X demos and it does seem like it would do me pretty well, and is cheaper then the Roland options. Fusion looks nice but it is a bit out of my price range. I've played a couple of the alesis QS things and I know that they will fit my needs. V-synth is definitely out of my...

Re: Restructuring my setup
While just the apc40 would be perfect for if i was doing purely electronica, I also need a live rig, with a polysynth and a rompler, therefore I must sell the LP. I will have plenty of time for analog synths in my future. So what do people think between the JP8000, sh-201, and an1x? Im liking the an...

Restructuring my setup
After much thought I am finally making the decision to restructure my studio to a more functional, less synth-focused setup. My current setup is a Moog little phatty, casio cz-1000, korg ms2000r, and korg es-1. I am going to completely change this to something more streamlined and functional. Most o...

Pezzner "Valldemossa" Remix
http://www.dancetracksdigital.com/freerange_remix/remixes.php Its the "DKJ Dirty Mix" Constructive criticism is appreciated, as well as votes =) Square and arpegiated bassline both done with ms2000r, dirty bassline done with little phatty. Drums(except for the snare) were done in ableton and everyth...

Re: Looking to buy my first synthesizer, trying for under 600...
Well in your case, I would go with as much polyphony as possible. It is somewhat limiting when playing huge pads and stuff. So I would go with the jp in your case. That way, you will be able to use all but 2 of your fingers.
