What about just being able to use it as a midi controller for various daw & virtual instruments?

Re: Prophet 08 Conversion
I don't actually have an 08, but have thought about doing the same thing you have. It depends on your serial number; if it is above 1680 then you don't have to do any soldering, otherwise you do. Obviously do it yourself if there's no soldering necessary. Here's the link to the pdf on their website ...

Re: VSE - Good trader/seller thread
Just got a Wurly from funk5 today and it is awesome. It arrived as described, it was a perfect price, he was a great business man. The packaging job on it was phenomenal, not only did be pack the inside of the case but also inserted this excellent sturdy foam stuff all around the outside of the har...

The Mackie would probably suit you better if you're going to be using it for live as well as studio. I don't know for sure but it will likely be lighter.

Re: FREE ALBUM - "Bartesho" - CS-80
Hey, just wanted to say thanks. It sounds great. I wasn't sure what to expect, sound wise as I haven't heard too many demos of the CS-80. It is capable of such an amazing array of possibilities. I know I've heard it on dozens of albums though and just don't know it. I burned both "tracks" to a CD an...

Re: patches for roland jp 8000
Hey no problem. I didn't know what what any of the patches sound like because I've never downloaded and tried an on my JP. What I would recommend besides looking for patches would be to listen to some albums or music that has the kind of sounds you want and try and emulate them by programming the JP...

Re: patches for roland jp 8000
Here's some resources: http://msi.pl/~mirage/index-en.html Scroll down a towards the end of the page and there are a few zip downloads for patches. I haven't tried any personally so can't say if it might be what types of sounds you're looking for but it wouldn't hurt to try them out. You've got noth...

Yeah, there seems to be more complaints about reliability on the Multi.

Sequential Circuits Six Trak vs. Multi Trak
The post on the Multi Trak got me to thinking about it and thought it deserved a different thread. To people the either own both or have tried both, how do the Six Trak and Multi Trak compare sound wise? -They both have the 3394 chips, but I've heard they are implemented a little different and the o...

Roland Juno 60 Mods
Just curious if it is possible to mod a juno 60 to have portamento. I know it even says in the manual something like: "portamento is not possible because of the DCO" Well they definitely have portamento in other DCO synths. Is this possible, or has it ever been done to a 60? Also curious if anyone c...

Custom synth work in the US?
Is there anyone in the US who does custom work on synths similar to the stuff like Cusom Synth in the UK? I know there's synthwood, but that's just for wood work. I really really love the work that they do at customsynth.com but it costs so much for shipping back and forth to the UK, not to mention ...

Yamaha CS-10
So I might have the opportunity to pick up a Yamaha CS-10 in excellent condition with a nice Yamaha (original?) hard case for $500. Is that a good deal, or should I try and talk them down a little? Thanks.
