Re: I just bought a NL2x. I'm sooooo disappointed...

I was looking at the 2x as a future addition to my juno 106. i know its just one persons opinion, but this has really made me question whether the nord can acheive the sounds of something like the jupiters or prophets. obviously i can;t turn this into a buyers guide thread, but advice is appreciated.

Nord Lead???

Right, i have been looking at adding another synth to my setup to complement a Juno 106. i want to continue learning subtractive synthesis and a virtual analogue such as the Nord Lead seems perfect. It is more fully featured than the Juno, but should be able to achieve the same sounds; gives me more...

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?

reading this thread makes me ANGRY (with jealousy  )

it also seems much easier to get deals in the US than over here in britishland. what with craigslist etc. are the brits just more clued up on the gear and what its worth?

Juno 106S Trouble..

Well im not surprised by this but i think one of those terrible chips is failing on me. After 10 minutes playing (warm up time i guess) i get hanging on voice 4. (the note keeps playing at a quieter volume for ever on voice 4, just making sure to myself that i understand what is happening) Anyways. ...

Re: How to acheive this sound?

is the best way to learn just to experiment? or am i better of learning the theory aswell.
i seem to find it hard to acheive nice high pitched sounds (twinkling sounds are what im after i guess)
Oh well, im sure i'll get there eventually!

Re: How to acheive this sound?

wow thanks for your help. just out of interest, can i buy an arpegiattor that would be comaptible with the juno 106, or would it require a different synth, or a seperate midi controller, plugged into the juno.

Thanks again!

I can see that, but i sort of slimmed down my reasoning against the microkorg so i didnt scare people away with the length of my post :P I dont want to turn this into a microkorg deabte, and i fully respect it, but from my point of view a Juno is more hands on and as an ex piano player the keys are ...

You would recommend them then?

I've always been a bit scared of being scammed on that sort of service. i.e sending off money and getting nothing or a really terrible quality item. (HAH i really didnt need to explain that. oh well)

Im sure I will :D

Just need to actually get one...

There is a Juno 6 currently at £260 on ebay uk!!! Thats (a little) ridiculous.

Its not even in great condition :o

I'd thought prices would fall with the financial scare mongering.

WOW thank you for the quick replies. I agree with you phenom and i am definitely looking to save a bit more and get a juno 60.. it is worth the extra cash.

And JMP thank you so much for those prices, they do vary alot, but its great to have a guideline.
