Re: EML 101 External Control?
There's two big obstacles you are going to face. The first is that you need to buy or build something that will scale your control voltages to 1.2 V/octave, which is what the EML uses. The second one is actually getting the control voltage into the 101. I'll post something later on that -- got no a...

EML 101 External Control?
Sorry mods, I jumped the gun and put this in the general synthesizers category, my bad. Got my EML 101 yesterday and was wondering if anybody can help with sequencing it with either a 303 or a Mobius. It's been 13 years since I last used one and my memory is shot! I have no recollection of how I use...

Re: Best synth buys you've made
I traded an excellent 808 I got for $540 back in '95 for an near mint EML in '96. It's my best buy because the good condition 101 I just bought a couple of weeks ago set me back $2280!!!

Re: tr-909 - sample based?
Kick, snare, and toms are analog. All the rest are 8 bit samples. I thought you would've known that the claps, and rim were analog... youve got all the 'classics', plus roland in your name.... There are a lot out there who own Roland gear, but don't necessarily know much about the inner workings of...

Re: buy an iffy arp 2600 for $1000?
Hey Code, I guess the question is how much would you be willing to pay for a fully working 2600? Average going rate on Ebay is anywhere from $4500-7500 these days. Assume that you're going to throw down $1500-2500 to bring it back to it's original, or close to, glory. Sounds worth it to me. Best of ...

I second that one! You know it sucks when your house gets broken into and all your gear cleared out with the exception of the MC-303. Now that's bad and it did happen!wiss wrote:Roland MC-303

My 999 is on the UPS truck for delivery as we speak and I can't wait to get my hands on it! Scored it for 2/3 the normal price due to it being an open box from a music store in Sacramento. Total luck!

Yeah, of the 909's and 808's I've owned it's always the 909 that needs to go to the doc....Syn303 wrote:I'm on my third 909, unfortunately... it's had to go away again - for repair! So it wasn't a happy 909 day for me.
