"Take That, Wendy Carlos"
OBVIOUS sarcasm. I'm guessing "sweep" thinks you're only a musician if you play something by hand. How could anyone possibly know what Jack does with a Synthi 100 by the 2 seconds he touched it?

Re: I Dream of Wires
I must be one of the very few who didn't take Paul's comment out of context. I never thought for a minute that he was dogging Moog. In the 60s, they didn't have the parts available we have now. I'm sure he had to work with a limited supply, and did what he could with what he had available to him. No...

Re: I Dream of Wires
Eurorack is the most forward thinking of the Modular world. All of the 5u guys are mostly trying to still be Moog like, right down to the looks. The only system that is trying to be different on all fronts is Modcan. They are pure class. imho, misconception. MOTM/Synth Tech has bridged to eurorack,...

Re: Korg MS-20 Mini
Ah the review was posted somewhere before in this thread, but to be honest the reviewer seemed like he had no idea what he was doing. You probably mean this guy whom only played it for "a few short seconds" at NAMM: http://fluxwithit.com/2013/01/28/korg-mini-ms-20-tweaking-and-testing/ I've seen hi...

Re: I Dream of Wires
Really? Not enough Moog? This is only a 12 min trailer, where Moog is clearly mentioned. There is a TON more footage. Maybe if Moog got off their asses and got back into modular systems instead of concentrating on API modules, guitars and the same signal path, they may have had more time. But, i und...

They're talking out of their a*s. The Korg reps all said April. Late March if we're lucky.

Re: Korg Mini MS-20
This thing isn't being delayed. If anyone bothered paying attn to the videos during NAMM, you would have noticed the expected date was April. Not ONE person said Feb. Not sure where you people are coming up with this date.

Listening to that vid, the orch hit sounds like the one that was in the Fairlight. Orch5 i think it was called? Also, the Kawai XD-5 was used quite a bit in this style as well.

Re: Cyclone TT-303
While it appears i was a little off with my description of these being nothing but TT b0xes, it IS partly correct. These ARE by Cy of TT. CyClone and TT should give that away right off the bat. They have been, however, redesigned. Robin Whittle even gives his approval. I just sold my FR Revoltion, s...

Re: chicago house 707 with 626 worth it.?
Think of the 626 as a cross between a 707 and 727. But not with the same sounds, though they sound real similar. It's a nice unit. I just wish it had the 707/727 interface! I used one for a long time.
