Can't open Roland CMU-800

How does one open up a Roland CMU-800? I've removed all of the screws I possibly can from the outside, but the front cover seems to be attached where the jacks are in the rear cover and does not open- I've never not been able to figure out something like this before. Any users have advice?

Question about Juno 106 and Juno 60 part swap

I was wondering if anybody knows whether I can swap the keyboard assembly from a Juno 106 to a Juno 60? Do they use the same part and connector? Any tips would be great, thanks!

Juno 60 keyboard

Hi, does anybody know if a juno 60 keyboard can be swapped for the one in the juno 106? I've been having problems with double triggering on my 60 and was wondering if I could replace it with a 106 keyboard that I have.
Thanks

Re: weird electronic smell

It's simply the phenomenon of your filter modulating the signal down into the olfactory range...

but seriously how loud were you playing?

My AD202 smells like that every time I turn it on

Re: discrete polysynths

The jupiter 4 has discrete osc's and has a discrete filter for each osc. It has a sound like nothing else. The voice chips are practically built out of resistors...

Looking for a particular monosynth sound

I'm looking for a monosynth with these type of sound characteristics. I found that the sound in the beginning of this video contains the sort of sound I'm looking for. Very punchy and dense. I know he is using a Gakken, but modding that particular synth is beyond my scope and I'm looking for somethi...

Re: matrix 6 calibration

In the master edit page there is an option for calibration. If you select it the matrix 6 will automatically calibrate itself. good luck

That's a very good price. Rack or keyboard? It's a great price for either.

Polysix Tape Data

Is there anyway to organize my patches on a tape backup for my polysix? Or I am stuck with just having the tape data be a backup of that point in time only?

An SH1000 which I quickly sold. Worst keyboard feel I've ever come across.

Re: juno 60 vs jx3p vs polysix.

The SSM chips in the polysix do lend it a very smooth, watery feel and sound. More so than my 106 I would say. The SSM filters combined with the onboard effects give the synth an incredible sound; I would say go for it.

Swapping out all six juno voices?

Do you think it's worth it to replace all of a juno 106's voice chips with clones? (I'm looking at the the AR chips) I ask this because I have replaced one voice already and now a second voice has failed which I need to swap out. I guess my primary question is, If I replace all 6 voices, will my sam...

Re: Prophet 600 VCO's or DCO's?

Thanks for the replies guys, I guess I should have just believed the VSE page instead of second guessing it because of some other websites. It sounds sterile compared to my juno 106 and polysix right now, so maybe I'll spend some more time working on it since it seems to be unanimous that it's not.
