Re: Sir Sampleton iPhone app (similar to SK-1)
Love this! I've got the free version of pocketvoice and I definitely prefer this. The record button is instant which it isn't on pocketvoice and I like your dual keyboard layout. Coremidi over wifi support would be a big plus. But this is really cool! I like the spinny waveform graphic thing whilst ...

Re: Eventide Space Reverb & Beyond & ZVex Tremorama
On the other hand, most of the time (aside from recording in my studio where I have control) my sound gets sent out Mono by the sound guy, mainly because they either suck, or don't care about keyboards or anything other than Guitar, Bass & Drums. Any suggestions as to what I might need to ensure st...

YMO - Rydeen cover
Here's a really badly played, rushed cover of YMO's Rydeen for a bit of fun.
Audio is just the main mix out of the mixer.

Re: Starting over from scratch
I've got the presonus firestudio mobile (updated firebox) and the drivers are rock solid and it sounds great. Never had any experience with their USB interfaces. I've got the m-audio axiom 61 and its all fine and dandy. The keys aren't amazing, but they're not the worst. The faders are s**t. The dru...

Re: Recommend Controller for VSTs w/ lots of adjstbl. parame
there are loads of options for knob laden midi controllers. If you want all the work done for you then you're looking at novations automap stuff.. but I have no idea how well it works with your stuff, you could read up on specific compatibility. http://rekkerd.org/img/200904/novation_sl_mkii.jpg The...

Re: Which headphones to take the role of monitors?
In ear monitors are probably gonna fatigue your ears a lot quicker than headphones. Whilst they *might* give you more 'bang for your buck' in sound quality the isolating design isn't going to be very comfortable to sit and mix with. Whilst you *can* get universal fit IEMs there's also a reason peopl...

Re: Which headphones to take the role of monitors?
Yeah... IEM's aren't what you're after. I really enjoy my AKG K240 mk 2s. I *think* they're going to be around $100 considering what I paid for them over here in the UK. But they sound really good. They handle bass frequencies really well. My friend got a couple of pairs of the AKG K171s to use duri...

Re: Teenage Engineering OP-1 Synthesizer
OP-1 wasn't used on that track at all. Just a prop for the video.
At least thats been the conclusion I've seen every time someone has discussed it.

if you haven't allready pulled the trigger then hold on and look at the Korg SV-1 as well.
I've spent hours comparing this side by side with the Nord Piano, Nord Electro and Nord Stage and i've got to say something about it just draws me to preferring it.

Re: Mopho keyboard update
absolutely love mine. I had the module and sold it nearly 12 months ago to clear space for a mopho keyboard. I didn't want to be caught up in the swarms of people offloading their modules for a keyboard and thus have to sell it super cheap. I bought the keyboard as soon as it hit shelves over here.

ipad + touchOSC?
Don't know if you've noticed version 9.1.2 of logic but it now has native control surface capability with the TouchOSC app. Check it out.
