Re: Low cut or EQ attenuation?

I wouldn't highpass a bass line at 100Hz that would be removing al the bass from it. if your trying to tget it to fit with your kick then they may be something wrong with your kick if you think you need to high pass @ 100Hz. With psytrance what is important is to get the pitch of your kick working w...

Re: Synths with Easter Eggs

JX-3P has quite a few easter eggs (all fairly well known / found on google). An extra bank of storage is a good one. :D - LEDs moving along in time with the sequencer is nice in the dark. I found a great easter egg on the JX-8P, turns out if you take a few hours to dismantle the synth, clean up the...

Re: ROLAND JUNO 106 VOICE CHIP ADVISE

I've recently used the Acetone treatment on two of my Juno's chips. I found socking for far longer then the video discribed made of better results. leave it for around 4 days so you don't have to prise the shell off at all. Both chips are working well with no signs of crackle or any other trouble. w...

Re: Performing Solo Live

I use an Akia APC-40 and Ableton live to play live along with an Access virus Kb and Roland TB 303 and some times my Korg monopoly. everything else in the tunes such as beats bass and what have you is mixed in to stems and then sections are looped in to individual clips which can be set of one by on...

Re: synths similar to poly61?

I find the Akia AX-73 to be quite a simula synth on it has VCOs rather than DCOs. http://www.vintagesynth.com/akai/ax73.php

However I dont find the Poly 6 and 61 to be simular to each other at all. AX-73 is much closer even programs the same way.

Re: TB 303

There is a midi kit for the 303 which I belive makes cutoff automatable. I actualy quite like getting lost in sequencer programming sessions and have fell ouy of love with midifying my 303 up. if it were any easier it wouldnt be as much fun. 8-)

Re: Large LCD TV as studio monitor

I use a 27" not HD ready TV through VGA and its fine. I can clearly see this texts as I write its not blurred or strobing or anything like that. I'm running at 1920x1080 as some lower res do look bad and parts of fonts get lost but hit on the right res and its fine. I will look at getting an HD set ...
