Re: ROLAND JUNO 106 VOICE CHIP ADVISE

From my personal experience - keep it "as is" as long as you can. I've just broken nice working TR-707 after removing circuit boards from the case... Damn it.

Re: Roland DEP-5

Early digital sound processors aren't very impresive. The sound is very flat, unnatural. But might be usefull if you're into lo-fi.

Re: Juno 106 Voice Repair Quote

You need soldering tools, voltmeter, oscilloscope, frequency counter (or guitar tuner) to make Juno work as before. Basic knowlege of electronics is needed :ugeek:

It sounds so good thanks to the advanced digital effect processor. What is that?

Re: looking for an old skool rave sound

These're sampled chords - not a single sound. I can make similar sound on every synth that has bulit in chord mode.

Rave on!!!

Poly-61 & Polysix - dead key problem

I have disassembled some keys frome my poly-61 and I noticed that conductive material is separating from rubber membrane and this cause contact problems (dead keys). I'm thinkig of buying ultra-thin copper strips, cut and glue them on the rubber membrane. Do you have any other suggestions how to fix...

How to make analog synthesizer sounds like C64?

I wonder how to do that. As you know Commodore's SID is very simple "synthesizer" with ADSR filter, (as I remeber) has only 3 waveforms and noise generator, despite that, it's rather difficult to program that sounds. I have tried on DW-6k and Poly-61. Any suggestions? http://youtube.com/watch?v=mFPf...
