Re: analog velocity sensitive synth?

Roland JX8P/ Super are velocity sensible, for volume, filter and also modulations (sync, cross).
Akai AX73 and 80 too...

Re: I really want an early 80's Roland poly. Suggestions?

A JX synth without the programmer is not a good deal. PG-800s are not common and very expensive...

I don't have a Jupiter 6 but I guess it's a monster compared to a JX-10.

Re: repair success stories

You have a stronger link with a synth you repair, as if it was build by yourself ! :D Last year I bought for 60€ on ebay buy-it-now a non working Akai AX73. Reading the auction, I guessed it was only a problem of battery. I was right, the main problem was the battery CR2032. But the sound was still ...

Re: Staying with Roland jx8p or upgrading to Roland jx-10 ????

synthigraphie- are you Colin Fraser? That's pretty cool, adding sysex to the JX-10. :) Of course I am not Colin Fraser  I changed the EPROM using Colin Fraser's ROM some weeks after buying my JX, it's easy but you need somebody to write the EPROM and it was the main difficulty. But next I foun...

Re: Staying with Roland jx8p or upgrading to Roland jx-10 ????

The only thing I hate on the JX-10 is that f..... alpha-dial, very slow. I guess if JX-8P uses a slider it must be more comfortable. If you don't own a PG-800 it takes 10 minutes to make a sound on the JX-10 so in this case JX-8P may be more interesting. But if you have a PG-800, there is no matter....

Re: Staying with Roland jx8p or upgrading to Roland jx-10 ????

Juno sound great but they are not reliable and are more limited about synthesis.

Roland JX-10 is a great synth for pads with 2 tones layered but attack is too slow to make snappy leads.
Keep your PG-800 and take the JX-10.

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY AUCTIONS HERE!!!

I am located in England and a friend of mine told me to sell this on the Canada market because i might sell it quick there. I would pay for shipping and insurance to Canada. For sure there will be people to believe that.... And if you say you live in England, he would tell you he lives in Canada :l...

Re: What was the cheapest Synth you ever bought?

Yesterday in a garage sale, found a Yamaha PSS-680 for 2 € I was very surprised to discover it's not a simple keyboard but a 2 operators FM synthesizer fully editable  sweet! awesome deal.. the 680 is the last of the "real synth" portasounds (where you can edit sounds)... The 460 is the firs...

Re: Pad on Seven Seconds - Neneh Cherry Youssou n'Dour

I"ve guessed it was a digital synth but I wonder which one it is. I can't recognize my JX-10.
This song was released in 1994 and is one of my favorites.
