Re: How bad is the ASR-X's sequencer?

I have an ASR-X pro. I pretty much use it as a drum machine. It does hiccup when tweaking or editing any of the parameters while the sequence is playing. There have been times where it seemed to lag when sequence was playing and I was not touching the machine. Lately it has been running great with n...

Re: Ensoniq ASR-X Pro sample slicing

there is an unofficial update to the OS which you can find on the asrx mailing list over at yahoo groups which has a new function called xplode which does exactly this. it also adds a few other features too. it will probably take some digging to find it. but it's there. believe me ;) Thanks! I got ...

Re: ASR X Pro

If you're not using the sequencer, why not use ASR-10 instead of X? I'm actually asking; I've never had either machine so I don't know. $$$ is basically it. I just happened to stumble apon on in my city for cheap. I fixed it up and started using it but the sequencer lag was just really really annoy...

Re: ASR X Pro

I have an x-pro. The sequencer was driving me insane cause it would lag. I have it hooked up to my MC-808 and works well just having the samples triggered from the 808. It has some great features and some cool FX. If you get a model that has the expansion cards and the 8-x outputs you have lots of f...

Ensoniq ASR-X Pro Sync Lag

My set up right now is using a Korg ESX and a Ensoniq ASR-X pro. I have the ESX as the master. I have them both running in pattern mode. There are times when the Ensoniq will go out of sync with the ESX. The ESX is not sending any special signals to the Ensoniq other than sync'ing. When I stop the E...

Want to sell a broken ARP Odyssey

I bought a ARP Odyssey (black face mdl: 2813) probably four years ago. VCO1 did not work. I had a friend fix it and it worked for a few years and now VCO1 is not working again. Im just getting sick of old stuff just dying and having to fix it. I was thinkin of selling it. It also comes with a case. ...

Ensoniq EPS or EPS 16. I see them go for 200-300 bucks.

Re: Ensoniq ASR-X Pro sample slicing

I used to have the ASR-X. You need to copy the sound to the other pads then edit the start/end points to the slice you want to hear. It's fairly quick to do starting with the Percent positions then fine-tuning it with the Sample positions. Pretty sure there wasn't an optional EFX chip - the ASR-X a...

Ensoniq ASR-X Pro sample slicing

Just wonder if there is a way to slice samples on the ASR-X Pro. I can spread the sample across all the pads to play the sample at different pitches. But would like to be able to slice the sample and have the slices go across the pads.

Re: Sample storage - SCSI stuff and so forth

So i recently picked up an Ensoniq ASR-X pro. I have been looking at the scsi storage. I was looking online and found they they sell scsi to usb cords. Is it possible to just use an external HD and have it connected to the Ensoniq?

Dang, I have a ESX but never had that problem. Did you happen to delete anything off of the ESX that day? Or Load patterns from a card?
