I will be there!
This will be the first "public" appearance of Engine since NAMM
Things have been a bit crazy, but hopefully will be settled down a little by then, whew!

Re: Collecting the entire MKS series: Insane goal?
I've got the MKS-900 in my rack, a very useful box, especially with step sequencers. Very similar to the A-110.

Re: Controller Annoyance - No MIDI connectors!
Such a thing is already in the works, they are supposedly shipping soon:
You have to ignore the iPad/iPhone angle they are pushing, it is a MIDI host converter... pretty cool

Re: Dallas Synth Meet
Yeah, I have my completely custom 303 and the axis-64 keyboard that I'll be bringing. I also have a bunch of stuff in my "for sale" pile, so if anyone is interested let me know: stuff I've got hanging around: tb-303 (x4) vs-2480 wavestation SR tr-606 M1R Europa sequencer Ensoniq DP/4 sh-09 parts dw-...

Re: TR-909 scratchy claps?
I would also check for a bad 2SC2603 transistor in the clap circuit, I don't have the 909 schematics handy but this is a common part to fail with similar symptoms to what you describe.

Re: Would it be possible to mod the RS7000?
I have reverse engineered two different musical devices (Doepfer Schaltwerk OS and Yamaha AW4416 file format). It's not easy and in the case of an actual operating system for a realtime system like the RS7000, close to impossible for a normal human :) I sold my RS, but in the case of the AW4416, it ...

Re: Anyone here use an Orb or Nemo?
I can only speak as a user of the Octopus and the Revolution. They are similar in ways but also very different. The Revo (Orb) is great as a single purpose scratchpad type sequencer. It excels at monophonic lead programming and 303 style sequences. Anything more advanced is better done on a differen...

Re: New Future Retro product coming.
Looks nice and small, I would be all over it to replace one of my Revolutions, except for the price
If it had some general purpose MIDI control knobs on it, it might be a little more tempting, I guess I'll wait and see what the used price shakes out to be...
