ESQ-1 also great IMHO .... same type of synth as the 8000 ( single cycle waveform samples + analog filters ), but the overall sound, features and user interface make it quite different than the 8000.... worth having both if you have the room, both are fairly inexpensive. ESQ-1 a big heavy clunker t...

I am thinking about buying an Ensoniq ESQ-1 really soon to compliment my DW-8000, would the ESQ-1 be a good compliment to it? I haven't played one yet but I heard some sounds and saw reviews that give it the style that I'm looking for.

Yamaha EZ-EG/AG to hardware synth?
Is it possible to play a hardware synthesizer with this particular MIDI controller? It wasn't designed for it but I've heard of people using it with VSTi's. I'm curious as to if you can use it via MIDI with an analog synth.

Guitar MIDI controller, HELP
I would like to purchase a midi controller in the shape of a guitar such as the one that Deadsy uses or some of the ones that Starr Labs makes called Z-tars. The Starr Labs Z-tars are really expensive for me right now so I am looking for a cheaper alternative. It doesn't really look that hard to mak...

I bought one a few months ago and I love it. Everything still works great on it including the aftertouch.

Re: KORG DW-8000 users
It turns out that the guy that had it before me screwed up all the patches and made them sound like c**p. I restored all of them to factory defaults by doing a tape load and it brought new life to a what I thought was a dead synth. I'm going to be making EBM and aggrotech with this board and I need ...

You may want to try this guy, too: http://www.thesoniq.com/Sale.html That doesn't look very credible at all. In what way does he not look "credible"? And you're welcome for the suggestion. Yes thanks for the site but it's just the way it's set up and the low prices of the items compared to ebay and...

JP 8000 and 8080 difference?
I know that the 8000 has a keyboard and the 8080 does not, but do they use the same engine? Can I get the same sounds out of both?

Re: Looks like everyone has caught onto Ensoniq synths
Yeah I was browsing some sites and found the ESQ-1 as a good starter synth for some industrial/ebm type sounds so I looked at the summary page for it on here and the estimated value was 1-400 USD so I go on ebay and see them going for over 500! It's ridiculous. I figured it would be a great second s...

KORG DW-8000 users
This is my first synth so I have a very basic understanding of general synthesis. I have read the PDF manual from KORG's website so I understand what the different parameters do. I have been messing with it for about a month now and for some reason I can't get any of the patches to change from their...

Did he buy the Z-tars in those shapes like that or get them custom made?
