Re: Links to vintage sampler demos.

A vid of the very rare Dynacord ADS-K (keyboard version of the ADS sampler) was uploaded just a few days ago.

PROPHET 2000 - 30 years in 2015.

PROPHET 2000, released late 1985. HISTORY. In 1985 there was ”the big 5” among the "Pro" samplers; Fairlight, Synclavier, Kurzweil, Emulator, PPG with Waveterm. Cheaper alternatives had just started to come, but ofcourse with serious shortcomings. Casio was the cheapest but a bit toyish. Next step u...

What happened to cyborgstudio.com? *site up again*

Hi, anyone who know what happened to the site cyborgstudio.com? it´s been down for a while. They had plenty of demos of synths, samplers and drum machines.

Re: Roland S760

Sorry if I´m a bit offtopic but concerning the S7XX-series there are some things I´ve been wondering about. Do they have glide/portamento? and stack voices? there is nothing in the manual about that (I know the Roland manuals explanation was a weak point).

D-Collector, your excellent demo of the S330 is gone again. Where can we hear it? :)

Re: Emulator Archive... domain expiring? Disappearing?

Don´t worry, another guy, Kenneth Abildgaard, is building up a new site. Rob Keeble has provided lots of material from his emulatorarchive to it: http://theemus.com/

Re: Drums on Front 242's 'Front by Front'?

Hi, in an interview in a swedish magazine from june/july 1989 they say the following about their use of drums: "We use preset rhythm machines, but then we try to colour the sounds in the studio through eq, dist, reverb etc. In Circling Overland we had a Roland 626, where we simply changed kick and s...

It´s just so obvious that digital synths do this type of sounds well. It´s no match for them. I think we all know that. Therefore I wanted to pay attention to analogs.

Analogue bell sounds.

Any favourite analog synth for making bell sounds? post examples and discuss differences. Yamaha CS-30. It starts from the beginning in this vid. Especially after one minute it´s making a really fat bell tone. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=coEoZnidpq8&feature=related The ARP Odyssey after 3.45: htt...

Re: Any fans of the EIIIX?

After googling around I actually found a few people that prefer the EIIIX over the EOS-samplers, soundwise ;); it´s converters are´nt as perfect as those in the EOS, in a positive sense.

The ESI:s are based on the EIIIX, but they were made as a lower cost series and in some areas more limited but more advanced in others. http://www.emulatorarchive.com/Samplers/samplers.html
