Re: HELP! Grundig Tk 400 reel-to-reel tape machine information:
I am trying to make a guitar amp out of a Grundig tk400 which has the following:EF86, EF83, ECC81 and ECL86 I would like to use the circuit and adapt it, but I cant find a schematics. Anyone know where I could find one? You will find them here - you will need to sign up first though - radiomuseum i...

Re: Akai S612 Sound Library Archive Project.
Probably not. Sounds like a lot of work. You could probably sell those, seeing as the S612 is definitely a newly popular machine with all the mods now available for it. Take a look at Hideawaystudios thread on Gearslutz. Just a quick link to my XD-280 Disk Emulator for the S612 which has been provi...

Novachord 346: 82 Years Old & Still Running! (New Recording)
Hi Everyone... With some intrepidation I decided to have a go firing up Novachord 346 for the first time in what turns out to be 8 years! To my great relief, the now 82 year old quarter ton 163 tube beast came out of slumber with all 12 of her master oscillators in action and pretty much in the same...

Re: Super Rare Mulogix Slave 32 in Action
Gorgeous! I’d assume that you lose the floating-split keyboard function from the Synergy but does the Mulogix Slave 32 keep the polyphonic portamento? The Slave 32 retains most of the features of the DK Synergy including all of the Split and Portamento Modes. It also features a larger user memory a...

Super Rare Mulogix Slave 32 in Action
I recently resurrected a gorgeous Mulogix Slave 32 which is the uber rare expanded rackmount version of the DK Synergy II+. According to its creator only around 25 of these beasts exist. The GDS/Synergy/Slave 32 were early all digital FM/additive 32 oscillator synths with 16-bit audio. Amazingly, al...

Re: Just received a Korg Sigma for free!!
There is a fair bit more to the Sigma than first meets the eye... it is definitely not an instant gratification machine and needs some time to really explore the possibilities. It was very popular among a number of synth heavyweights in the late 70s as a performance synth so don't let people let you...

Re: Prophet VS v1.2 firmware download
Just beware that although Version 1.2 gives you things like data value INC/DEC buttons it loses the free-wheeling LFOs which are now synchronised to key-on events. Since the VS is all about modulation this has put me off undertaking this upgrade in the past. I would like to have the option to downg...

Re: Removing coating from all voice and wave chips from Juno
I think there might be some confusion about the potting on the 80017A VCA/VCF modules which is being perpetuated across the internet. Epoxy potted ceramic subtrate modules are somewhat notorious for long term reliability issues and not just limited to those found in the 106. In many cases it is not...

Re: AKAI S900 Fed into VX90 over 13-Pin Interface
I just recently picked up an AKAI VX90 and I'm getting a S900 tomorrow so I can hook the two together. I am curious if anyone knows of where I may be able to find the 13 pin cable, or if there is info on how the wiring needs to be configured to make one? Also, I've been searching for the factory pa...

Re: All tube phaser- with schematics!
Found a nice article about a 1990's era tube phaser. Even has schematics for you to go on. Check it out! http://www.effectrode.com/phaseomatic/phaseomatic-in-depth/ Interesting... it works in a very different way to my All Tube Phaser: https://soundcloud.com/hideaway-studio/bruel-kjaer-all-tube-pha...

Re: Removing coating from all voice and wave chips from Juno
I recently purchased a very nice condition Juno 106 nearly mint and thought of removing the epoxy coating from all the six voice chips and three wave chips before they fail. I know many sites that teach one how to remove the coating and restore the chips, but anyone know of a very good site? Would ...

Re: what's up with my moog slim phatty being out of tune?
Well the CS-40m is not a CS-50. I have now sold my CS-40m, however, I can tell you that it was very good at staying at pitch, even when cold, and turned on, relative to the deadnuts C reference note of a Waldorf Blofeld keyboard with an INIT patch. The MS-20kit takes a bit to tune up even when ambi...

Re: AKAI S900 Fed into VX90 over 13-Pin Interface
The VX-90 is 6 (or 3) voice, whereas the S-900 is 8--I had read somewhere that that can create voice cycling issues somehow. Is that the case at all? In short no... Connecting the VX90/AX73 to an S900/950 is far from self-explanitory and is very poorly documented. It is very possible to get the com...
