Re: Synth owners master list for VSE?

Re: Spectralis twooooo

I had a spectralis 1 and it was a bit of a love hate relationship. I could get the mono synth to make great sounds, and also from the drums and polysynth side, but it not a fun thing to do, think of a mopho with 4 knobs to control a fairly extensive monosynth, now multiply the knobs by 10 or so, mul...

Re: Another Dedicated Ableton Controller---from Novation!

argh and there is me with 3 monomes not even multi color! off to ebay :) seriously though i would need 2 of them, I like to use 2 monome 40h together to see 16 steps, but the price is very good, as long as it does not have the annoying squeal i have on the korg nanopads when it is powered up (stupid...

Re: Yamaha - enemies of synthsis!

Yamaha and their lawyers have ruined any chance for nice Modeling synth like the original OASYS PCI to be used with modern powerful DSP on a synth (not made with an atrocious yamaha interface). I blame the plague on society called "lawyers" there are way too many of them making work for one another ...

Re: Anyone here use a BCR2K?

I have bcr and bcf. i quite like them. one thing that is very important to note though is their programming thing only works with certain versions of java. so if you have java auto update turned on it will stop working. (well it sort of "works" but you cant send anything to the bcr) fortunately i ha...

Re: poly with Moog Little Phatty

my opinion - DSI Poly Evolver or Prophet 08 evolver, definately not, its a great synth and all but not for that. prophet 08 sounds a bit thin to me it might be hard to get rich sounds like that. - Access Virus Ti It could do it, but its not analog at all. Its really good at faking it though. - Alesi...

Re: ADVICE ON MY NEXT HARWARE SYNTH ANYONE?

you could probably get a virus ti as well, although it has a sort of "sound" associated with it you can do tons of other stuff as well. the modulation system is very good and there are quite a few different oscillator, filter waveshaping and effects. effects parameters can be modulated as well so th...

Re: Evolver Editor Updates

VST support would be great. its so annoying to have to set up the editor and virtual midi cables or whatnot to edit while sequencing. I am kind of thinking of selling it because of this. Also the window is HUGE, maybe they could split it in to 2 pages or something. i dont mind the virus Ti editor an...
