Re: Wanted: Roland JD-800 Right End Cap/Panel

Got the keys and the pitch bender. I'm guessing this has the potential to take years for me to find, so if you stumble across this post in the future and happen to have this end cap, shoot me an e-mail at tryan225 AT gmail.com

Wanted: Roland JD-800 Right End Cap/Panel

Picked up one of my dream synths, a JD-800, at an unbelievable price and am looking to refurbish it. I was wondering if anyone had a spare right end cap sitting around that I could buy? I truly only need the top half of the plastic end cap/panel, but am willing to buy the whole thing. Here's a pictu...

What power supply for tr-707

I've been using a 9v i had sitting around but get a lot of tempo drift. Anyway, I was wondering what power supply works best with the 707 considering its "special needs" (12V DC 200 mA negative center)

Re: Ensoniq ESQ-1 Test Screen

Okay, I found it in a service manual. If anyone else is curious, the analog test page is accessed by holding down "record" and then pressing "compare." then you must press "read."

Ensoniq ESQ-1 Test Screen

I was wondering how to get to the test screen on the esq-1(involves holding down buttons while powering it up, or something). Anyway, I'm just trying to figure it out for a seller, so I can have an idea of the battery voltage before I drive to look at it. I had one a year or two ago and I'm pretty s...

Re: What price for a DX7?

I only ask because the manual i found conflicts with the images of the mk1 i saw on GIS. It says its function and the 14th button, but it doesn't say battery check in the image of the actual keyboard, but it does in the manual.

What price for a DX7?

A DX7 has recently appeared on a local craigslist for 200$, I was wondering if this is a good price, or if I should make a lower offer. I'm watching a couple ebay auctions to gauge it myself, but any input you guys have would be appreciated. Also, are there any tests I should run on it before buying...

Re: 707 Juno60/Monopoly Triggering Question

i'd like to be able to trigger them independently, so having one rim trig out with one 16 step sequence doesn't really help.

Re: 707 Juno60/Monopoly Triggering Question

i just had semi success by going from the kick drum to the arp trig in on the monopoly, however it only worked when had tracks selected with no leds on in the step editor.weird stuff.

707 Juno60/Monopoly Triggering Question

I was wondering if it would be possible to trigger either the mono/poly or the juno-60 using an individual out from a tr-707. I sadly no longer have a 606, but would still like to trigger these independently from each other.

TR-707 playing random patterns and I can't erase all steps

So, I moved my TR-707 into my new place. I boot it up and for all patterns the matrix is loaded with all kinds of stuff. Most of them are just random patterns where most steps are filled for all instruments. Also, the patterns are random lengths and scales. some patterns are 2 sections long, some ar...

Re: TR-707 is too dang fast!

I'm not slaving anything to anything. Just comparing tempo to the metronome in ableton. I will most likely purchase that 12v boss power supply that's for pedals. I'm assuming that is the correct one.

TR-707 is too dang fast!

I'm pretty sure my 707 is playing way faster than the bpm would suggest. It doesn't line up with ableton, but it's quite drastic. I got this thing for cheap because it has a crack in the white shell under where the tempo knob is. It has always jumped around in tempo very slightly. For example: It wi...

It seems to fit in nicely with the spirit of this forum, IMO.
