Like A Pen, Drum Machine?

Dear Everybody, I came across this fantastic song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hqNSd-x1yEs and started to wonder how they made the clickin' in the intro. My guess would be a drum machine playing some constant drum, where they fiddle with the tempo, but I'm a bit new to synths so I would like to he...

'The Cheesey Casio Sound'

Over the past months I have grown to love the cheesey casio sound, if in the right hands it can sound beautiful with some delay and reverb. Believe it or not, I'm thinking of buying one. Do you have any experience with Casios (especially like the CZs) that you would like to share. http://www.youtube...

I'm looking for a drum machine, any ideas?

Hi, I'm looking for a (cheap) drum machine for a project I have in mind witch involves a lot of clean delay-ie synths and abstract loops of electric pianos, but I need a drum machine for it. The only requirements are that its sound minimalist and electronic, and has a good interface. Any ideas? (muc...

Re: Good synths for leads?

Nord Lead perhaps?
20 voices polyphony, really great leads, great midi implementation, arpeggiator, cheap, lots of used ones on eBay, virtual analog.
Nuff said :D

Re: Moog OS vs. Voyager [Poll]

Thanks to everybody for your help! I have made my decision and it ends on the Old School, it's just (imo) a much cooler synth even though the Voyager and the OS are pretty similar. I have weighed all the different parameters very carefully and for me it's the OS, and it will be my first synth (not ...

Re: Moog OS vs. Voyager [Poll]

I've tried both and it was something with the oldschool that I liked, think it was the ability to always "see" the sound, you actually get what you see. When you change to a preset on the Voyager, you don't see it right away what you have to do to get the sound you want. That was exactly my thought...

Re: Moog OS vs. Voyager [Poll]

This decision is simple, do you want midi, patch memory and a touchpad? If yes, you want the Voyager. If that decision's too hard you don't deserve either. :D Thats true, but imo the touchpad is useless because it pretty much does the same as the modulation wheel, and I don't really need patch memo...

Moog OS vs. Voyager [Poll]

I'm in a bit of a dilemma because I have saved enough money to buy either an Old School or a Voyager and I'm trying to get all the input I can before I buy because this will be my first synth :D
