Ensoniq DP4 broken encoder / jog wheel fix
So I’ve been meaning to post this for a little while in case someone has the same trouble as me. I couldn’t find any info the net when I was looking. I recently bought an Ensoniq dp4 with a broken encoder / jog wheel for a good price figuring I could fix the encoder. Upon opening discovered the enco...

Re: Elektron Octatrack!
It's an incredible piece of kit. Has a few bugs still but updates have been fairly constant. OS is still not v1, although another beta (0.998) is out on Monday whcih will add midi-in capabilities (playing samples from keyboard etc). Midi out sequencer will be implented in the not too distant future ...

Re: No longer a dilemma: Tetra vs. some other KNOBBY rack po
I say stick with tetra and mopho for now mate. At least until they bring out their update for tetra. Yes sonically similar. But with mopho on bass and tetra on chords and pads you got a good pair.

Re: Chicken Systems Motif Creator---start of a trend?
I've just grabbed chicken sys translator and despite a few initial blips so far so good. I love hardware but what I don't love is things that take no time in software taking loads of time in hardware! Translator has helped with this and if thry made a proper mpc 4000 creator id probably buy!

Re: Mopho keyboard shipping?
Hey that's great! Glad it works. Didn't know arp on/off was a known bug...I'd spent ages trying to get that to work from my Novation controller!
I'm looking forwards to properly using it when home from hols! Tetra update due today I believe! Good work DSI!

Re: Mopho keyboard shipping?
cool, thanks. I'm 99% sure it's just the way they are..ie, the filter doesn't attenuate the complete signal..especially as it's the same on my tetra. The MPC's have always been pretty capable midi-sequencers so there is a good chance it won't filter out NRPN's...sysex maybe but NRPN's are technicall...

Re: Mopho keyboard shipping?
oh forgot to mention... i noticed something that had me slightly worried but maybe its completely normal..even when the low pass is fully closed you can still hear a faint slitghtly high pitched sound of the oscillators. The only thing that removes it is turning down the amp envelope amount. Maybe t...

Re: Mopho keyboard shipping?
Alright I tried your method and it's a good solution! After tweaking a few settings it's all ALMOST perfect. The only thing I noticed is that, using the MPC as kind of a MIDI "router", some controls aren't transferred from the MoPho to the Tetra. I assumed this was because these specific controls w...

Re: Mopho keyboard shipping?
yep you're right. But he's wanting to use it multi-timbrally not poly-phonically. Until DSI integrate an easier multi-mode (which they are looking into) that's the way to do it. Me, I'll use polychaining I reckon and rely on my blofeld for my other parts. And If i don't want to play chords i'll just...

Re: Mopho keyboard shipping?
Set up looks good! Without trying it out yet I would sayyou need it set up like this. Mokey MIDI out into Mpc MIDI in. Mpc MIDI out a into mokey MIDI in. Mpc MIDI out b into tetra. Make sure that MPc has the MIDI through function set to as track. Ensure local on is off on the mokey. Ensure multimode...
