Sounds awesome! Will pick it up for sure...
And then will finally pick up a DX7, a Wavestation, a TX81Z, hehe...

Re: Ever been tempted to sell everything and buy a Korg Kron
this thread is still here? And why wouldn't it be? I had a legitimate question, which I posed in a light-hearted way. Lots of people are giving interesting input, talking about their gear, and their experience with it. I suggest you do the same next time you post something. Aaanyways, like I...

Re: Ever been tempted to sell everything and buy a Jupiter 6
Do it! You could always start over again. By the way, I played that same synth that was mentioned earlier in the thread, at Main Drag (last summer I believe)... They also had a Prophet 5 at the same time (but that lasted a couple of weeks there only). THAT was really tempting...

Re: Ever been tempted to sell everything and buy a Korg Kron
I know that a workstation is not needed in order to make great music. h**l, in fact, it is not needed at all to make the kind of music I like to make, which is ambient, glitchy, soundscape-y... For that a computer with plug-ins is already good enough, or a DX7 and an Eventide Space, or whatever, in ...

Re: Ever been tempted to sell everything and buy a Korg Kron
Those who own the Kronos here, can you chime in about the sequencer? Is it easy to use? I usually find sequencers in workstation very hard and cumbersome to handle... Also, haven't looked into it yet, but can you import your own samples into it?

Re: Ever been tempted to sell everything and buy a Korg Kron
The pianos sound fantastic, and as far as the synth engine goes, it might be one of the only synths around with a full FM engine in hardware. My fear would be to get something like that, which is truly the most deep, complex, and full-featured box around, and then see my creativity hampered, and was...

Ever been tempted to sell everything and buy a Korg Kronos?
Mad gearlust, I'm sure, but hey, haven't you ever entertained the thought?

Re: I just realized what I want - A true hardware Maschine
Mate, what you really want is an Octatrack. The sequencing is as solid as it can be, the machine is killer, and what you can do if you like Maschine's sample library is simply buy a flashcard and load all Maschine's samples in it, and then you'll have them all at your disposal in the Octatrack. That...

Re: MicroTONIC and a Micron Droney thing...
Thanks man. There was a thread running on Gearslutz, where a lot of members were just posting drones made with all sorts of goodies... Check that out, should still be there, named something like "Let's Hear The Drones"... And yes, Microtonic is very easy to create "beats..." but not easier than with...

Re: I just unwrapped my new MEK PE.
There was a thread about drones here a couple of weeks back, and a lot of folks praised it and that convinced me. I got a desktop version and it is just too good! I am actually finding the interface a breeze... Seriously. It's all there! I just sit on my couch with the devil in my lap, headphones on...
