Re: Korg is on a roll..........
Analogue is not inherently retro nor is it inherently old fashioned in regard to sound design. The resurgent success of modular synthesizers as much speaks that people are looking overall more for "different" than they are for specifically retro with new analogue gear. most of the "retro fetishist" ...

Re: Money Mark's Minimoog Trick
I like how dismissing this one guy and this one trick equals never, ever wanting to hear anything different or surprising and being totally close-minded to everyone and everything. I think you are closed minded if you every refer to any possible technique for creating sound as not music. A bunch of...

Re: Money Mark's Minimoog Trick
Exactly. It was s**t and people are getting s**t for calling it s**t. No you see anybody who doesn't have the thought process of a 5 year old girl probably abstains from making wide, arrogant sweeping judgements about people and their music from a short clip so they don't go around shitting all ove...

Re: Korg is on a roll..........
When this electro lego gear becomes boring and on the shelf we will review then too many people are in awe so easily of new products not really new are they. at the risk of actually trying to engage in conversation with Bochelli... If you're expecting every new product (especially a sub-cheap music...

Re: Money Mark's Minimoog Trick
I've just done a bit of internet research on this Money Mark person and I have come to the conclusion that I completely misjudged him and his talent level. After some reflection I can honestly say that his influence on music and society in general will be felt long after people have forgotten all a...

Re: functionality vs sound ....
Obviously what you want is a steel string acoustic guitar (and plenty of spare strings). You can go off to a cave (nicer acoustics) and write songs about breakups and coconuts so when they find you in a couple of years they can write an article in pitchfork about your extreme album writing period an...

Awfully nice of them to put all these lovely samples on soundcloud all individually isolated with downloads enabled. Got me ANOTHER 808 library now. Only it's a fake 808 library now

Re: Tying to find out what synth was used
The saturation and EQ on it is what makes it sound like that. There's no special sauce with the synth sound there just get to work processing.
