Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth

So I did ended up getting one of these after hearing more from them. My initial complaint not wanting it was I like analog polys to be lush . This is not your typical analog poly it is it's own thing. The click issue isnt as bad as some make it out to be. It does some really cool sounds. Drones for ...

Re: Looking for Sequencer Suitable for Live Performance

For a live preformance I would choose the mpc 1000 hands down and if you need more outs you could get a midi thru box. I have done shows with the 1000 but have updated to the 5000. I also have the rs7000 and the rm1x. They are great sequencers in there own right. They have a large learning curve in ...

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth

I have yet to hear this thing sound lush or warm on pads. To me any analog poly should be able to do lush/warm pads without external fx if you want it to. I love Korg I really do but something is off putting on this for me . Maybe its the resonance not the cutoff that seem very harsh or the filter ...

Re: Korg Minilogue Polyphonic Analog Synth

Very interesting . Something reminds me alot of my orginal microkorg(that I still love) here. Maybe its the sequencer (arp) buttons or its filter sound in some ways by the demo vids. I love the PONG power on screen when turned on and the scope on this. Wonder how deep the strings and pads will go ? ...

Re: Roland Boutique

I have to revise my first impression assessment of the JU-06, maybe I was fooled by the excellent chorus emulation. Beyond that the JU-06 sounded too sterile and flat compared to my 106. There are some really sweet frequencies on the 106 that the JU-06 does not capture. When I played two notes an o...

Re: Roland Boutique

I got the Ju06 today and it sounds amazing. Its powerful enough for what its intended to be. It has a nice loud output . It seamlessly blended into my hardware set up very very well . I own analog and digital synths and this ACB sound is closer to analog then my virus or any of my VAs . Things I don...

Re: What Synth has the most Mojo?

For me on a personal level for a synth I own it's the Kawai SX240. The reasons are because to me it feels alive and because its sound inspired me to actually play play my synths. good second runner up is the jx3p. I have a jx8p as well but there is just something special about the 3ps sound I use it...

Re: Crazy Analogue on a budget

The micro korg only lacks the ms2000s mod seq and the MS onky lacks the micros arp.other wise same synth miuns a few knobs .boggles the mind one could like the others sound and not the other when its the same synth. The ms2000 is great try to get the b not a if you can and are going that route. To cl...

Re: Crazy Analogue on a budget

Yes the membrane buttons tend to fail more often the rip on the ax80.the one I had was redone. The ms2000 b. Is more hands on then the microkorg though the micro is not editor or programming unfriendly.where the Ms has the mod sequencer the micros arp is superior to the ms200s.

Re: Crazy Analogue on a budget

As for the kawai sx240 my favorite poly I own.though its like the polysix meets a Juno. Lush lush lush awesome filter but not as wld as a AX 80.Its limted in the wild sounds department.pads can get pretty wild and 8 voices Porto and gliss can make some wild big sounds .its a Mega analog poly but lim...

Re: Crazy Analogue on a budget

I have personal experience with the DW MS2000 Virus b Poly61 Microkorg and AX 80.if you liked your poly61 the DW is near to it in tone. The DWGS waveforms sound better of course on the DW then the MS and microkorg. Four note poly is a down side on the VAs but I still love mine for what they do.no cr...

Re: Juno's vs. JX's

Out of the jxs I have both the 3p and 8p .I find the modes for unision great on the 8p .but. even with that I prefer the 3p sonicly.the chorus sounds better on my 3p and I love the simple sequencer. The 8 p is more quite then the 3p.you don't need a PG controller if you must have one .you can get a ...

Re: A synth that sounds thin, cold and harsh?

I agree with a Dx7 .cold and thin even better a TX81Z .cold bit more harsh due to the op and extra waveforms .super cheap too a steal.
