S/PDIF question, simple solution?

I am wishing to record 4 mic signals simultaneously. I have a Mackie 1402 VLZ3 with line outs connected to my MBOX2's line ins. I know I can use the S/PDIF input on the MBOX2 to add another 2 ins, but how do I go from my mixer (which doesn't have an S/PDIF out) to the MBOX2's S/PDIF in? I hope there...

Re: Do you think these SM57's are fakes?

Thanks for your help, I ended up identifying some genuine ones from a different seller.

Thanks Yekuku!

Do you think these SM57's are fakes?

http://shop.ebay.com.au/turgaysell/m.ht ... rom=&_ipg=

Opinions needed, it seems strange as a new seller he is just listing tens upon tens of these SM57's. I think he's making fakes.

Custom Paint Jobs

Hey guys,

Thinking about doing some custom paint work on one of my midi controllers.

I need some inspiration. Has anyone else done this - can you post up some pics??!

(Sorry if there is already a thread for this).

Nord Lead 2x Q's

Hey Guys, Can I play pianos, EP's, organs through a Nord Lead 2x? Or is it more for synthesising weird sounds? :D I want a lightweight keyboard that I can take on stage for indie/folk/acoustic work to play pianos, EP's, organ. BUT, I also need a keyboard that can do all the psycho synth stuff in the...

Looking for VST filter (for Cubase)

Hi guys,

I have Cubase SE-3. Looking for a filter plugin.

Cubase SE-3 already has a step filter but I want a "non-step" filter, like a gradual filter, you know what I mean?

Thanks,
Chas

Wow! It's definitely a very different action to any other keys I've played. Will take some getting use to.

Re: SY-77 vs DX-7IIFD

Interesting to read these pros and cons. As for me, I finally have a SY77 sitting here in my studio - without power! I've got a step down transformer on its way. Looking forward to powering it up and seeing what it can do. I have noticed though just from playing the keys that they are very clicky, l...

Cheers mate. Yea I'm not the blast type. The 500W transformer should be fine for me.

Re: SY77 hz

Thanks for checking that out for me B3groover. I just found a stats page for the Mackies saying that their low freq "Burst power output" is 350 watts. Do I have to make allowances for this "burst power"? http://www.mackie.com/products/hr824/specs.html Sorry for the newbie question, I hope you don't ...

Re: SY77 hz

Ok thanks very much.

Also, I need to know how many watts is the SY77.

Not sure which of these to buy as I will also need to run some Mackie HR864's on 110v: http://www.tortech.com.au/stepdown.html

SY77 hz

Just need to know what the SY77 hz rating is. I am guessing it is 60hz?

I need to know this so I can buy the appropriate step down transformer to run my 120V SY77 here in Australia.

I google searched this to death but could not find the bloody answer anywhere!

Re: Going to buy some Mackie gear

Any more opinions on the monitors, any thoughts on what I should do regarding the Mackie mixers?

Thanks!

Re: Going to buy some Mackie gear

That said, their flagship monitors in the background there appear to be KRK E8B Expose, which cost thousands.
