Re: MIDI Sync

Thanks. For this particular music I cant use the editor because everything played is spontaneous. We play everything live and multi track it on Cubase. I can't re trigger because that means that all the samples will have to be turned off in sections of the song just to get them back in sync again. I ...

Re: MIDI Sync

It sort of defeats the purpose of sampling if I have to re sample or re trigger all the time. Is there any way to get it in sync or do I just have to change the way I make music? If not I don't see the point of Korg releasing a product that is aimed at electronic music which its not suitable for. Ho...

Re: MIDI Sync

Thanks, I updated the OS and it sync's a little better but still after 5 or 10 minutes its out. We make 20 min tracks and it's a real headache when the timing starts to gallop. Yes I have the correct settings with the clock source ESX set to internal and KP3 set to external. I want to get 2 loop dev...

MIDI Sync

Sorry if I have posted this question on the wrong thread. I and a friend of mine are having trouble syncing sequencers and loop devices. We are running a KORG Electribe SX and a Kaoss Pad. The Kaoss Pad is used for looping synth lines and the ESX just for rhythmic patterns but after a couple of minu...

Re: Access Virus A, B, C, Classic and TI

"Just marketing" as in they creep with progress instead of leaps between models.
I know it takes a lot of time and money designing these things but marketing is sometimes bigger than the machine itself.

Access Virus A, B, C, Classic and TI

Hey people
Just wondering your thoughts on the Access Virus A, B, C, Classic and TI.
Is there a big difference? Is later better? Or is it just marketing?

Re: Digital Synthesizer

I'm looking at the jv-1080 or 2080 at the moment. Those sound demos are good but being fairly new to this I still don't know how much they are capable of. I use presets but I want something that I can tweak and really get loose:wink:! Although I can see myself getting one and also getting something ...

Re: Digital Synthesizer

Thanks everyone.
Can someone give me a quick rundown or tell me where I could find info on the differences between ROMpler, sample and subtractive synthesis. What are the common sounds or characteristics each have and what are the pros and cons of each.
Thanks again everybody.

Re: Digital Synthesizer

I was thinking about the v synth but because Australia is 10 years behind the rest of the world it costs $4500 which is roughly $3500US brand new and impossible to find second hand.
One day maybe.

Re: Digital Synthesizer

Thanks for the replies. I don't really have a budget in mind but I will be looking for second hand. I am not an experienced programmer but am learning and want to get serious about it. I do use presets but thats not what I got into synths for. I have already a Dave Smith poly evolver keyboard and a ...

Digital Synthesizer

Hello everyone.
I'm looking to get a digital synthesizer to create complex pads, bell, sounds etc.
Where should I start?
I have just recently got into synthesis. Would prefer hands on hardware but anything to get me going and keep me going.
Thanks very much for any replies.
