Re: MonoPoly vs Prophet 600

I was in the same exact position you were in last year, same two synths. I ended up goin with the MP, thinking that I might be able to get away with the polyphony of the MP for what I was looking for (which is what your looking for) and it didnt get me any where close to what I wanted. But, the MP d...

Re: TR-909 scratchy claps?

If you're hearing an increase in volume when you turn the clap level pot then IC 28 is working. The level pot just changes the gain of this op amp by controlling the resistance in an inverted feedback loop. Sounds like something is messed up before this stage in the signal path. Well, with the leve...

Re: TR-909 scratchy claps?

Thanks Altitude. Yeah the snare and toms sound ok. I think i need to bring it in and get serviced. the 909 sounds good but I feel like it doesnt sound like it should. Some of the drum sounds sound a little staticky, nothing too bad as you can barely here it. Its just not I guess crisp and clear. I g...

TR-909 scratchy claps?

Whats up everybody. So I bought the 909 knowing that the claps were not working properly ( i got a sick deal on it so its all good). Here's the deal. When you turn up the level on the claps you here a lot of static and very faintly in the background you can hear the claps. As you turn the level up t...

Korg MonoPoly

So Ive been interested in picking up a new synth. A couple of contenders are the roland Juno 60, sci prophet 600 and the korg poly6/monopoly. I know the korg m/p only has 4 voices but it sounds like a beast. So if you had to choose one which one would you go for and if you have a monopoly tell me ho...
