can bad PSU effect tuning?
Hi, I'm pretty sure the tuning isnt right on my synth, at the moment its set up for US voltages and is going thorugh a stepdown transformer that is giving a lot of ground hum (the actual transformer has an audible hum if you put your hear to it). Could this transformer effect the stability of the tu...

Midi pads for Hand percussion
(May be slightly off-topic for vintagesynth so apologies but thought some heads may have advice here) Does anyone know of good budget midi drum-pad controllers that are sensitive enough to be played by hand like a hand-drum (not trigger-pads)? I've been looking at the Yamaha DD series but im not sur...

Safe Power Conversion from UKv to USv Synth
Hi I just got a ms404 in the post with no power lead and i'm a bit confused about what I need to give it some juice with out destroying everything inside it. Im based in the UK. It says on the back in english "only use with a 250V fuse" there is also a sticker on the back saying "115V AC 50-60 Hz" a...

Re: Analogue monophonic synths capable of 303 type sounds
I think I will probably go with the Xoxbox thanks for the replies. I did look into the MC-202 but from the youtube videos (maybe not the best way of judging from the sound quality) it sounded a bit 'thinner' when trying to replicate 303 (not neccesarily in a bad way still) and almost more rubbery th...

Re: Analogue monophonic synths capable of 303 type sounds
^It needs to be analogue for me really. I dont think I can justiy it to myself at the moment as if it isn't all its really doing is saving on processor power and giving me knobs to play with.

Analogue monophonic synths capable of 303 type sounds
Hi there, been trying to decide on the right synth for ages now so thought it might be good to get some direct advice. My price range is at maximum of £400 (~650$) but probably more like £200-300 realistically. I've been looking at alot of 303 clones, xoxbox seeming the best quality and probably the...
