Re: Some people hate this track so much it makes them angry
reviews so far "It doesn't go anywhere" "4 minutes in and the same sh-t!" "turn up that space invaders sample." "the part below 22khz was awesome!" "this track is fail" So somebody is still doing "powernoise", then. Hellz yeah! Love that c**p. It's like having your head in an amplified broken...

Some people hate this track so much it makes them angry
http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?q=hi&songID=8261761 Mainly DR-660 drum machine with no actual distortion this time and some chopped up tape recording samples. Overall I just wanted to write something loud mean simple and agressive. I like it but Inadvertantly I seem to have creat...

Re: Best DAW on PC?
If I went PC I'd get reaper. Its super cheap, has a lot of features, and is constantly being updated. If you want to spend more though get cubase, I used that before I went mac. Seconded. I tried Reaper and was impressed. It's easy to use, has tons of features, and seemed very stable and efficient....

rhythmic video stuff
Some people seemed to like the last ones so.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gAMAaBlfqqU First one is similar to the 50s sci fi one I did. This time using Westworld for the material. I used cheap sounding drum machine samples again, mixed with my own DR660, some MS2000 arps, and a little synth pla...

Re: classic sci fi Kraftwerk ripoff tronix
The VCR one was a pain. I worked on it intensively for 3 or 4 days I think. Someone who knew what they were doing could have probably done it faster, but in the end it made a good WTF video I think. It's not like I actually made it with cut tape however it's really just someone's tape being eaten wh...

classic sci fi Kraftwerk ripoff tronix
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X3HpOU0rNF4 A little more video from me. This one is meant to be a sorta nerd Kraftwerk tribute. I used DDM 110 samples for the drum sounds, some tape recorded glass hits (sounds like metal so it's a total metal on metal ripoff) and the synth sounds are an MS2000 and ...

Re: Four Original Dark 80s-esque Tracks
That happens to me too. Seems the more work I put into something the less attention it gets. I think my most popular to date was something banged out in 30 minutes. I could see vocals making it more dynamic. My own keyboard skills range from dull to god awful so I feel ya. I can rock the h**l out of...

Re: Four Original Dark 80s-esque Tracks
I liked Velour and Fractured the most I think. I miss the 80s synth sound myself. Hold me down sounded like more could be done with the melody to me. Not that it's bad or anything. I just found while listening to it I wanted it to do more. It still has a good moodiness to it and an 80s feel however....

Re: low tek gore tronix
Thanks man. Yeah it could have used a change in there somewhere. One of these days I should probably try to jump back into it and see if I can make the pattern a little less monotonous. I've been droning and looping for so long working with beats is kinda alien, but it feels good to attempt to just ...

Re: PC to S-50?
Try this and also some info here Appreciate it. Thank you very much. I was searching high and low for the generalconcepts website. I'd originally used a program listed on their links which seems to now be defunct, however the other program looks like it offers what I'm looking for. Needless to say ...

Re: My Brown Day (a narrative track about poop)
The concept alone is brilliant. Sick bastard.
The modular sounds amazing. It reminds me of the 80s for some reason. Maybe I crapped my pants back then.
