Re: Filter Recommendations

I honestly haven't seen BlueLantern's name thrown around too much in these parts. I remember a little while back he was catching h**l in multiple places by building vcf clones and just selling them outright as his own; without patent or permission...something like that? At the moment though he's bee...

Re: any drum mchine kit?

Yes, that's correct. It's a multi-tracked production (as mentioned in the text in the video)

You'd require more than one pcb depending on how versatile you'd wanna make it. Thats the way it appears anyway...

Re: any drum mchine kit?

I've been entertaining the idea of building a MPS. Thomas Henry's Mega Percussive Synth. Electro-music.com's selling the pcbs @$20 and you'd be sourcing your own parts. Like the 9090; theres no sequencer. MPS pcb here Thomas Henry's MPS birthofasynth page here Browse above for schematic and parts li...

Re: Cheapest Drum Machine w/Individual Outs?

I think I have my answer, by researching the VSE homepage: I'm leaning toward either the Yamaha RY-30 or the Kawai XD-5. I don't have any experience with the RY30 but can tell you that you will absolutely have to process the xd-5 with something outboard as the output is kinda limp. I had one not to...

Re: Cheapest Drum Machine w/Individual Outs?

With some intermediate skill you could always perform the individual outs mod on the 606 you mention in your gear list. I can tell you it's easier than the tonal/decay mods. If not self-performed you might be able to get a tech to do it for $100-200.

Between M-Audio's flakey Mac drivers and the Focusrite's Dice II chipset: i'd say neither. Might wanna look into Echo or Motu.

Re: Serious Korg DSS-1 Mod!

I haven't seen it on too many DSS-1s but, supposedly a filter mod can be done on them similar to the Poly-800 and DW8000. So they say over at Circuitbenders.co.uk Can't remember which synth it shares filters with tho DSS-1 shares the same filter (NJM2069) with DW6000/8000 and Poly800, and their rac...

Re: Glitch Effects Hardware?

The WTPA sampler should be able to do buffer f**k too. I wasn't aware that the WTPA could f**k s**t up in that respect until you said that. I don't wanna plaster the thread up with videos etc but theres a Vimeo clip of some guy running a Public Enemy track into the WTPA, and it's just sick to say t...
