Re: Garranimal's Tracks
Actually I'm down w/ hay fever but I managed to bang this one out. Right after I tweeted last night about not feeling the groove. That's how these things happen

Re: Vintage 70s Sounding VSTs
genuinesoundware.com I sold my Rhodes 73 Stage, as their MrRay73 is so damn good. They make other plugs for tonewheel organ, Wurlitzer piano, CP70, and even a Miles Davis trumpet plug. Like ninja says I like to add filth to recordings. I'll put together some drumloops in BFD, then use iZotope Vinyl...

Re: V/Oct to Hz/V converters?
For anyone with a eurorack setup, the Expert Sleepers Disting module has an algorithm just for this purpose to convert pitch CVs from linear/exponential and vice versa.

Re: Garranimal's Tracks
What did you use on this? Thanks! I used my eurorack mostly. Here's an elaboration from the vid description. Multi-tracked in DAW Cubase SX3 as master clock Sequencing was done in Beatstep Pro w/ TR-606 sync'd to it. 606 has some RE-20 delay, comp'd by DBX 160A Arpeggio pitch CV comes from Pittsbur...

NAMM 2017
Less than 3 weeks away, not expecting much this year. Most companies have released things recently, and fighting to get them out to market. Like Matrixbrute, DeepMind, Marion Systems SEM*Plus. It seems almost unreasonable to expect any more. I'd still like to see a couple of rumored and announced pr...

Re: wanting info and answers
Getting Vizex to communicate properly w/ Venom is not intuitive or enjoyable at all, and why I sold mine. Which is too bad, the Venom has an awesome sound and architecture. Trade up for something like an Ultranova, you'll thank yourself many times over.

Re: Roland RS-505 Paraphonic Strings - Modern Equivalent?
The strings in the Roland VP-03 module will get you the closest, however lacking many of the sound sculpting features of the original 505. The RS-505 and VP-330 shared the same quad-BBD ensemble circuit. AFAIK the VP-03 is the only hardware emulation of the quad-BBD ensemble. The Streichfett emulate...

Re: Can you identify this tone?
The keyboardist next to the drums looks to be using a Kurzweil. Piece of cake. Start w/ a piano preset from any of your favorite romplers. Add vibrato at a slow rate. Finish off w/ a healthy dose of reverb.

Re: Novation Ultranova is surprisingly cool
Oh but those lights, so pretty. My only gripe is it needs another octave of keys.
