Re: Am I insane

Update: After much deliberation, sleepless nights and incontinence..
I've kept the D-50 & PG1000! :D
Sold the Yamaha SY22 and Alesis SR16 instead.
So glad my heart won that predicament.

Re: Am I insane

Thanks for the advice mate and also the eBay link.
I'd say your about right with the valuations.
My head says yes and my heart says no but,
I may look at other things first which can easily be replaced later.

Re: Am I insane

Cheers Space6oy, had a good look around but, not much on eBay at the moment.
So do you reckon £150-£200 for the PG1000 £400 for the D-50 with literature, 512k Ram Card and PN00 Card would be a fair estimate of price? :|

Am I insane

Unsure what section of the forums to place this so, here it is.. Looking for help/ advice on a price for this lot of rare goodies, considering it has taken me years to collect with hours of fun and happiness experimenting with the features and sounds. I won't split the package, it's all or nothing. ...

Re: Roland D-50 Aftertouch problem

Thanks for your reply Synthaholic :D Yeah, tried moving AT slider but no joy..even pressing down with force  I presume that when you mention 'to disassemble the keybed and clean the sensing strip' that you would be refering to the method below for cleaning contact strips? Roland D-50 Aftertouch problem

Just typical, after reviving my D-50 from storage to try D-Collectors NEW patches, the aftertouch has stopped working  Are there any walkthrough links on the interweb or references to fixing this? I've searched online only to come up with 'it could be dry solder joints on the bender board' Anyo...

Re: My D-50 bank soon finished (with demo)

Nice work D-Collector! :D
Listening to those sample sounds has now motivated me to get off my erse and to revive my D-50 & PG-1000 from storage tomorrow. Just LOVE the D-50 Pads :D

http://i185.photobucket.com/albums/x270/BMW4US/Jupiter8.jpg All time favourite looking synth! My 2p worth, it's just a shame it never has ebony end panels, coloured bulbs to match the button colours, and a flush patch display window..everything else is spot on for my liking. Traditionally, the numb...

Re: Roland D-50

If you get a D-50, a PG1000 is a must! I found the D-50 a headf*ck to programme at first after having an Alpha Juno but, that's probably just me ;) The aftertouch was cr@ppy but that's typical of older Rolands. The strip can be refurbished if aftertouch is important. Appologies for the hi-jack, Are ...

Re: Don't sell your f**k gear!

I can relate to this, well nearly. Thought about selling my D-50 and PG1000 which I've had for years, believe me, it was close when cash was tight but, it's brought me so much inspiration, enjoyment and happiness, and getting a replacement further down the years was just too much to bear. I have an ...
