Re: Woo! Picked Up A TX7! Great Little Synth...
And this HUMONGOUS Computer-Based Synth-Arranger-Sequencer from the late 80's. Had a built-in qwerty keyboard, and looked NUTS!! $3,000. I forgot who made it, though......... Hmm, I'm curious as to what that could be... Me too... it had two words to the name, it was wasn't a very common maker.........

Yeah dude, it's great! Bored of the sounds? Internet search, and ten minutes later all new sounds. Wanna modify them? Deep computer-based editing makes it easier if you're in a pinch. My Guitar Center has been getting REALLY cool vintage synths lately. Ensoniq SQ-80 (something wrong with pitch bende...

Re: Roland VP-770, inculdes Auto-tune type feature?
The VP-770 has a feature called, "Auto Note" which finds the pitch you are singing at. Sounds like a familiar software plugin, does it? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvKFuZvjG34 Sorta... I mean, it's just that the retune speed isn't variable, it looks like, but other than that, BASICALLY it's Auto...

Re: Woo! Picked Up A TX7! Great Little Synth...
... If you like your TX7 then try Casio's VZ line of synths as they are sort of 8 operator compared to the DX7's 6 operator. --Art Yeah, those Casio's are also REALLY nice! And realitively cheap, too if I'm not mistaken. The DX/TX stuff is quite nice, but if Sam Ash had a TX7 and a TX802, and I had...

Thanks everyone! This thing is huge!! And hey thanks for those links, D. I knew they were out there, I just wasn't looking hard enough. I'll swipe up some of those here shortly. And the thought of having some more classic DX7 sounds intrigues me bunches. I keep forgetting to post pics. I'll prolly p...

Woo! Picked Up A TX7! Great Little Synth...
I got it at my local Sam Ash for 50 bones, plus manual and TRS cable (HOSA, brand new, 7 feet). I think I scored! It came with an impressive set of custom patches loaded in, they DEFINATELY aren't presets... :D This thing is huge. Big bass. Lot's of sound. There's like a chunk of plastic missing fro...

Re: Yellowed Alesis Ion keys?
I'm thinking that this is happening because the keys are made of ABS or HIPS, both of which are sensitive to UV light, and will yellow. Over time, they'll get REALLY yellow, like old screen-used stormtrooper helmets from Star Wars: http://www.starwarshelmets.com/March04/newcomprotj3a.jpg I mean just...

echen007 Is a great guy when he sold me his WRC02 ROM Cartridge. Business was smooth, he ALWAYS kept in contact with me, and was more concerned with ME then himself! The cartridge initially got scrambled in the mail for a few days, but he always kept in contact with me, gave me the tracking number ...

I LOVED those granulated sounds from that movie!! The sound effects were EASILY my most favorite part. I always thought they made them with like a DX7 patch, a KP3, Kaosillator, and a Flanger. hahahaha But seriously, these are BADASS sounds.

Best: (Take your pick) Polysix prices are rising though, got 2 of them for less than $500 combined and only needed a simple fix so they are out there cheaper if you wanna take the risk :) SY/TG77 - monster synth, mostly misunderstood until someone gives it a proper hands on (so cheap but so good) A...

Re: POST ANY INTERESTING EBAY / CRAIGSLIST LISTINGS HERE!!!
WOW, that's too f**k funny right there, hahahahahaha. The dude CLEARLY googled it, found VSE, and priced it for the highest number he found on his computer screen. Lucky bastard. He COULD sell it for that price, too, seeing as how it's rare as h**l, but what about the demand for that thing in Philly...
