Re: Poly 800 II won't power on!

I'm not sure if this is correct or not, but here's an idea, both power sources (batteries or PSU/Transformer) end up in some capacitor of some sort, it could be something as simple as a bad capacitor that is unable to sustain the charge, which is why you hear the audible pop from the speaker. Re: 3rd Oscillators - What's Your Favorite Use?

I use a 3rd OSC is to create an LFO that syncs with both OSC1 & OSC2 at different frequencies. Not sure it I'm explaining this correctly, for example and I emphasize example, if OSC1 is at 20Hz & OSC2 is at 30Hz, I run OSC3 at 60Hz (common denominator), it produces a nice effect.

Re: Jupiter 6 VS. Prophet '08

It's a difficult choice really, they are both great synths. If you are looking for pure sounds and are the type to whom warmth is important, the I would go with the Prophet '08, otherwise the Jupiter 6 is so much richer, I personally would take the Jupiter 6.

Re: poly with Moog Little Phatty

Maybe it's the 3 hour drive :-), next time take a break before you enter the store, brab some lunch, then go in all refreshed. The Virus Ti is realy an amazing synth. Also keep in mind that the amp it is connected to has a lot to do with what comes out.

Re: fl hate

I just purchased FL Studio 9 for my son, for the price, it is an amazing piece of software, great features, a bit 'noisy' interface, but once you get used to it, you can work it very easily.

Re: Favorite synth sounds

I read somewhere that the 303 sounds were created 'by mistake', whatever that means. Most amazing creations are created 'by mistake'.
