Re: Edgar Froese 1944 - 2015

Dark day for sure, but of course everything must end. And for all intents and purposes this is the end of Tangerine Dream. What a great run too. I'm really sad. Tangerine Dream is very important for me. Maybe Edgar's recent output wasn't as good as his Works from the 70 and 80's but hey, he was 70 a...

Re: Any love for the Roland Juno 60?

The 60 is a favorite vintage synth of mine. Even though it's long since been eclipsed by later synths at the price point I still very much enjoy its character and sound. I was lucky to get one just last year at a good price and played it for all the synth sounds on a friend's debut album with great ...

Stand solutions for smaller modules

So, I have been going around in circles trying to find a decent stand setup for what I need. The main detail is that I while traditional stands are great for most keyboards, I have some synth modules like Roland SH-32 and such that don't fit well or at all. Anyone have a good recommendation for a mo...

Re: Scored a Juno-60

In other news, my Juno-60 is still tanked. I've put about 50 hours of work into it and still can't get it up and running properly (and I'm someone who has a clue what I'm doing). I have a few things I'm going to try before I give up and start asking for help on the internet. It seems the Digital lo...

Re: Scored a Juno-60

Just a follow-up question is the memory storage on the Juno-60 going to be eventually doomed? I hear bad things about it.

Re: Scored a Juno-60

Thanks guys sounds like SwitchedOn is the way to go, I've been there before and always gotten a good vibe. May have to wait a bit though, even though I got a great deal on the Juno it still sunk me and the issues are fairly trivial at this stage...

Scored a Juno-60

finally in the club! I have some other instruments but this is my first proper vintage synth. I lucked out and it is in pretty good condition but there are a few minor issues I'd like to try to address... I am thinking hopefully it just needs a good cleaning.. -output can be scratchy sometimes on th...

Re: upgrading OB-Xa

Thanks! that is a great pic. I figured it would be something like that since each voice is basically its own card there.

You sure about that? I had the good fortune to have very close seats at the San Antonio show and his pedal setup sure didn't look like a taurus - looks like the same custom setup Tony Geranios has had for him for some time now.

Re: School me on Sequencers

thanks for the suggestions guys, I think I am looking at a roland mc-303 for right now... it has its own tone generator which is cool since for some songs I need to still be able to play the MS2000 or sh-32 at the same time as the sequence... just need to make sure I can trigger it with a footswitch...

Re: School me on Sequencers

I let this go but need to come back to it now and get it figured out.

suffice it to say the MS2000's 'sequencer' is woefully inadequate for my needs so I am looking at an external unit.

Can anyone recommend a straightforward, easy-to-use step sequencer for what I'm trying to do? Thanks.
