It is a 4 voice analog synth with different voice config and sequencer It Can be 4 mono sounds on different midi channels as Well. The esq-1 Can not do that however akais synth eng...

Re: Juno 6 for $620, should I get it?
Junos sound nice, but with all the new analog polys available these days it seems a bit silly to spend several hundred dollars on a single oscillator per voice with no patch storage. the lack of patch storage is what makes the Juno 6 so appealing to some. its nice to have an honest synth with a pan...

youre citing what was then cutting edge technology and then asking about sample libraries. that doesnt quite follow , though. a lot of these artists made samples themselves, whether from live recording into the sampler or from someones discography. i remember a documentary on continental tv from the...

Re: Old Roland Samplers (S Series, W-30, etc)
Lots of nice technical and model info in the thread. I've had lots of Roland gear, but never stuck my toe into the sampler waters. Is there any reason to be using these machines these days other than a maybe having a few old sounds you want to retreive? I've never played around much with sampling, ...

^^^ have you tried updating the firmware? the dsi site mentions 1.1.0 as adding 'Full USB Support!' im glad i cant afford one because the kbd tracking on the filters being relegated to on/off switches is a huge turnoff for me. its not like they couldnt spare the ram to store a pot value instead of j...

Please, we are synthesists here. It is preferred that you chuckle quietly to yourself, then blame line interference if you get any funny looks.madtheory wrote:Weird, that's the first time you mentioned OPX Pro- which is a plugin that runs IN a DAW. Am I allowed to LOL?

a new dx7 with an esq 1 style interface, but with rotary knobs instead of softbuttons, would be amazing. being able to edit most of an envelopes parameters at once would be very interesting, as would adding a page or 2 of custom knob configurations to each patch
