Re: Dave Smith Mopho x4 vs. Studiologic Sledge

Honestly.. the Sledge. It's not analog, but it's a LOT of fun to play, and I'd say for beginners, it has the by far better interface than the Mopho. I myself have to choose my next poly synth soon, and the Sledge is on my list, the Mopho x4 isn't. I love my Mopho Keyboard (the mono version), but may...

Re: Overwhelmed by Synths.. Where do I start?

Welcome to the magic world of synths! I myself am not an expert yet, but I passed that first stage and so I try to answer some of your questions. Once you learn one synth do you learn them all to a certain extent? Not all, but some. Synths can differ a lot on their interface, some have a knob per fu...

Re: Juno 60 vs Vermona Perfourmer Mk1

Back to this old topic, I still didn't decide what's gonna be my first poly analog, just I know: I *do* want the Juno 60 at some point, but I probably won't find it that easily, so I can't *plan* it. Last week I tested the Perfourmer Mk2 and indeed I can't see it as a poly synth either, so it won't ...

Re: Nord Electro 3/4D vs. Hammond SK1 vs. Korg SV1

I am looking for a fun, compact, portable (i.e. not 88 keys) keyboard *instrument* that's more restricted than the overloaded Workstations, that has basic keys sounds like piano, e-piano, organ, clav, strings, mallets but also a few other stuff (and be good at that, not cheapish like a Roland). One ...

Nord Electro 3/4D vs. Hammond SK1 vs. Korg SV1

Looking for a stage piano, the Nord Electro already wins in terms of size, weight and fitting into my beloved Nord Bag.
However, do you think I'd miss anything about the others?

Where's the best acoustic piano sound? e-pianos? clav?
What's the best overall instrument for band use?

Re: U-He DIVA

Just tested DIVA, and well, not being an U-He fan, I can say:
DIVA is the first soft synth that I *FEEL*.
It's alive, it gives my computer an aura, it's amazing. It touches my soul, my heart.
There is nothing computer based close to this, nothing I came across so far.
I'll buy it soon.

Machinedrum vs. Xbase 888

Which has the better, more capable, flexible song editor?
Which is more fun / easy to use?
And which is better for sequencing other hardware?

Juno 60 vs Vermona Perfourmer Mk1

Ok I am starting my decision phase for this quite early, will decide in march or even later, but it can't hurt to collect opinions and ideas already now. I'm looking for a reliable, polyphonic, easy tweakable analog synthesizer for less than 1000 Euros. I narrowed it down to these 2, the Juno 60 and...

Re: Stage Sequencer: Maschine vs Europa vs Ableton

OK thanks very much! I bought Ableton Intro in the meantime, and now I know how to use it, and really like what it can do. The problem I discovered, however, is that my macbook white is facing quite a lot of problems with latency. That would also rule out the Maschine. I might test it with another a...

Stage Sequencer: Maschine vs Europa vs Ableton

Right, at least the Europa is actually no synth, but I hope it's still ok to ask this here ;) here's what I think so far: Maschine needs a computer plus an audio interface to work, but then it comes along with so many possibilities and fun. Europa is "just" a sequencer, but it works standalone, well...

How to use Monomachine for Pop?

I am quite new to the Monomachine, or sequencers in general. It's my next step so to say, after I learned to use Synthesizers. The situation now is this: I want to use it for my next pop band / project. I didn't start it yet, so I can't say anything about how many people there will be, but anyway, I...

Well the first word that comes into my mind, or passes my lips, is "F###" (without censoring). Re: Korg: Radias vs MS2000

At the moment, I own an MS2000B, a blofeld keyboard and the mopho keyboard. While I think the mopho is the best sounding of these 3, the most fun I do have on the MS2000. It's a damn cool synth. And god does it improve with a bit FX on it, especially reverb on synth brass kind of stuff! Hello Vangel...
