Yamaha cp25 key noise
Got a CP25 that the keys click when released. Your thoughts would be a great help thanks.
I've unsoldered power to the ch1 sound generator chip and the noise is gone. Looks like it may be the problem.
Swapped them and problem is the YM722 voice chip.

I had one with similar problems and it was a bad trace. It does not help that they are not protected with a coating.

Re: Pratt-Read keyboard rebushing issue
The keys of the Wave are plastic and metal as opposed to the all plastic keys of my ProOne. http://i187.photobucket.com/albums/x30/zudio/IMG_0985_zps96f3490a.jpg It reminds me of the Simpsons skit "the book of great british smiles". http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_u4A-ytR8ePM/S88M6NDTrgI/AAAAAAAABP...

Re: Arp Pro Soloist issues.
Z9 was to clear the gate stuck open problem which also effected some of the presets. Z3 may be the one from what you have found and looking at the schematic. If that fails I would change all of the ICs on that board that you can "shotgun it" because there are so little of them. Incase you have not f...

Re: Semi-Working Arp Pro Soloist HELP!
Recently bought a semi-working Arp Pro Soloist (black and gold. post soloist, pre DGX.) About 90% of the keys trigger in tune and track. About half of those keys have to be wiggler pretty hard and played a couple of times to trigger. Biggest thing for me is that even after leaving it on for a coupl...

Re: TR-808 with blue step buttons 1-4?
Well, duh! Of course, my handmade ones come pretty close to that sound ... but with reverb and tremolo! If you actually made a tweed circuit with reverb and tremolo, would you mind sending me the diagram?!? I also like how we are turning this thread into something that could be interpreted to be ab...
