Re: JMJ Equinoxe Part 2 Sequences ?
@Knolan, not sure if this will help you but... The company Analogue Systems builds clones of the EMS Filter and the EMS Trapezoid Generator. They actually licensed the designs directly from EMS so the sound and functionality is as close as possible. http://www.analoguesystems.co.uk/pics/modinfo/rs50...

Re: If You Like Wicked Chord Changes
What kills me is that there's so little about them out there. How the scene has changed, ballooned, that a duo this talented could so easily slip under the radar. Hi Ned, you should check out Lindstrom & Christabelle's album "Real Life Is No Cool". You might like it if you like Knower, a similar mi...

Re: Big decision - many options. Need assistance.
This decision keeps getting more and more difficult... The SH-101 seems to be a good choice, although it is much more than the CS-5 ( yea I kno I keep going back to it, cause its the cheapest.). For my needs, would an SH-101 be worth it? Or could the CS-5 be admirable I'm it's place. The SH-101 mak...

Re: Vermona Perfourmer vs DSI Tetra
Great reply, memory cords. Do you have audio examples online? Hey dhollmusik. Here's a track that my friend and I made using the Perfourmer as one of the main instruments. It shows many of the sounds that the Perfourmer is capable of. It's an experimental soundscape, not a dance or pop track. You w...

Re: Vermona Perfourmer vs DSI Tetra
I have the Vermona Perfourmer and I love it. The interface is great for manipulating the sound in real time, as one voice is playing you can be changing the parameters of the upcoming voices so there is constant change and evolution in the timbre. The sounds are incredible too, very smooth with abso...

Re: Alesis Micron or M-Audio Venom?
You cannot really 'outgrow' the Micron, it has every common feature a synth requires - 3 oscs per voice, multiple filter models, ring modulation, PWM, soft and hard sync, frequency modulation, sample and hold, step sequencer, unison, 'analog drift', portamento, multiple LFOs and envelopes, a noise g...

Thanks for the replies Monolith, Automatic Gainsay and Richard Gear. Much appreciated.
I'm going to try to track down the SH-1000. May buy the SH-3A too if I can find it at a reasonable price.

Roland SH-1000, SH-2000, SH-3A: similarities/differences/CV?
Hi, I've read on the 'net that the SH-2000 is basically a SH-1000 (soundwise) with less controls... is this description accurate? How much more functionality does the SH-1000 have? And does the SH-2000 have any features that the SH-1000 doesn't have? What kind of CV functionality does the SH-1000 ha...

Re: Doepfer Dark Energy
I have a Dark Energy and I like it a lot. Really glad I bought it. The range of the LFOs is great (super slow to super fast) and the basic tone is good. It can sound nasty or smooth depending on how you tweak it. As vvd mentioned you can also use it to process other synths and drum machines. I use i...
