Re: External Effects
in terms of bang for your buck, pedals are probably not as good as all in one units like the lexicon mx series for example, like the mx 400 . for $300 USD it's not bad. pedals are more fun to use, but will probably cost you more. not sure sure what kind of weirdness you're looking for, but maybe the...

Re: Korg - original value red LED
a simple LED is better I think. quite sufficient and doesn't use up display space. besides, pots are better than encoders.

Re: Need help looking 4 a new synth
Supernova all the way. Somehow I knew you were going to say this too! :) Isn't it a shame that the Supernova wasnt able to develop as much as let's say the Virus, which has gone through A, B, C, and now TI generations? Or the Nord Lead which is now up to 3. Such a great synth. I mean there was the ...

Re: Can you suggest a synth for me?
If you consider semi-weighted keys, you'll have more options. That is, unless you get a fully weighted controller + sound module combo instead. That might be the way to go if you're strict about the keys. Prophet sounds like a good choice but you might want to consider a used Poly Evolver if you can...

Re: Korg Radias or....? recommendations plz
Virus preset selection def isn't as immediate as the Radias'. Supernova's is pretty good. Geat sound too, and affordable if you can find it. And lots of knobs.

Re: what is the cheapest/best synth?
$200-250 is not a good investment imho. It's like saying, I want to buy a house but I can only afford to pay $5,000. If you're lucky, you might be able to buy an old beat up Korg Poly800 or MicroKorg for $250 but those are not really the best synths to get. Just my opinion. Better to save up a littl...

Re: Korg Monotribe ?
Well I will admit I did do the math. monotribe 12 X $229.99 = $2759.88 So now, is there a polyphonic/multitimbral/can-do-a-bunch-o-sounds-at-once analog synthesizer capable of rivaling that sonic quality? I mean, this is what you would get if KORG was lurking on VSE and took RD9 seriously. Will the...

Re: Moog Lunar Impact
Nice stab, Stab. Was that hyperbole a personal insult directed at me? It was a parody of any number of idiots. If you identify as one then sure. Haha. If *I* identify as one? Why don't you just man up to it. And thank you for calling me an idiot in that subtle way. So mature. I don't understand why...

Re: New Step Sequencer from Analogue Solutions
not so wild about the legending/graphics Someone should really hold a typography workshop for boutique synth manufacturers. Really. Totally. That font looks like OCR which I usually like, but not on synths. On bank checks they look great haha. Simple, clean Helvetica is way better like on synthesiz...

Re: Why so subtractive?
The vast majority of the electronic music I own/have listened to is done with subtractive synthesis. I don't know if I'm entirely right in saying it, but it seems to me like 90% of synthesisers in, at least the music I own, are doing subtractive stuff. It almost seems a little hard to find the othe...
