Re: Odyssey Ultravox Vienna patch

Luckily my apathy's kicked in, otherwise I'd be here arguing every petty, tedious point in an equally tedious, pointless manner. No need to be so hard on yourself. Don't feel as if you need to reargue your points. I doubt if anyone here saw your points as petty or tedious, just a difference of opin...

Re: Odyssey Ultravox Vienna patch

I have a Korg MS-20 mini. I like it a lot for its sounds and what it can do, but the build quality is not good. The keyboard is a joke. The Korg Odyssey has the exact same keys. The size of the keys and the quality remind me of one of these: Melodica I'm quite impressed you can say that without hav...

Re: Odyssey Ultravox Vienna patch

Lol the battle between Korg and Behringer! Its, so hard, on one hand love the price of Behringer Odyssey, I'm not bothered about size of the keys. There has been on YouTube comparings side by side of these two Synths and it's close, but I keep asking people this question can both Synths play the Vi...

Re: Odyssey Ultravox Vienna patch

Personally I don't think it's quite so slam-dunk between the Korg and the Behringer. It all comes down to which company you'd rather support. I have a Korg MS-20 mini. I like it a lot for its sounds and what it can do, but the build quality is not good. The keyboard is a joke. The Korg Odyssey has ...

Re: Vox Humana Sound

Nice one, I'll try the soft Synth, but would you be able to post what it sounds like on the Alesis please? As I'm more into hardware Synths. I've pretty much stearing away from software nowadays unless really essential. Thanks in advance! Yeah, I might have some time to do that with the Ion. Here a...

Re: Odyssey Ultravox Vienna patch

In my opinion, getting the Behringer version of the Odyssey over the Korg version is a no-brainer. Behringer absolutely nailed the Odyssey sound. The Behringer version has better build quality and more features than the Korg (and the orginal ARP) version, and it costs less. And the Behringer version...

Re: Vox Humana Sound

Has anyone been able to get the Vox Humana sound on their Synth apart from the Polymoog, I'd be interested to know as alot can get it on the Virus Ti2 Polar Keyboard synth. The absolutely free VST soft-synth u-he Tyrell N6 includes a fantastic Vox Humana sound along with numerous other great sounds...

Its funny I had the same feelings but owing a vintage analog Synth is the best thing you can do.
I recently both used a Roland Juno-60 and it sounds amazing I had to do some work on it but i don't regret at all.
I had a Juno 60 for years. The modern Deepmind 12 synth blows it away in every way.

Re: Vintage synths, are they really worth it?

If you asked this question a decade ago, the answer would be definitely yes. By today standards and the prices that vintage synths go for, absolutely not, you can get modern synths at a fraction of the price and with more / better features. Yup. And modern synths have far greater reliability. With ...

I'd say hooray if it weren't for 1st April... Stephen Oh sure. Instead of rolling with it, you ruined the ride. :---) :D I'm a notorious party-pooper. You should have posted it on 2nd April. Or 31st March, for that matter. I might have been a little more enthusiastic then, just a matter of bad timi...

Yamaha Releasing Updated CS-80

Yamaha's has announced that they will be releasing what is essentially an updated version of the legendary CS-80. The new version has full size keys with poly aftertouch and is real analog with patch memory. It will sell for $3999. Here's a link to a page with information and photos. It looks awesom...

Behringer Neutron Tuning Issue

Is anyone else having problems with their Behringer Neutron not staying in tune? I let my Neutron warm up for over half an hour, tune it precisely using a tuner, and when I go to use it, it doesn't stay in tune. It also doesn't help that the two large oscillator tune knobs are very sensitive. A slig...

Hello,

I want to buy a 'knobby' synth...
:agree:

Hooray!!! You want a knobby synth. Real synths are knobby synths. Menu diving =

What is your budget / price range? Suggestions will (obviously) be contingent on price.
