Re: Korg Monotribe VS Atomo Mochika 2.1
Just looking for some different perspectives on the comparison is all. There are plenty of knowledgeable gearheads here who might have some insight that an analog novice like myself lacks. For example some of our modular-loving friends may use a vactrol vcf and be able to shed some light on their us...

Re: Korg Monotribe VS Atomo Mochika 2.1
Yep. On the other hand we know all the specs and ballpark price, so it's not exactly rocket science to make the comparison. Sure, nobody here has played one personally, but I'm pretty sure nobody who posts here has played a Mochika either. @keytarist, that's an interesting perspective. Mochika also...

Re: New monster analog poly-synth
How are people more interested in discussing the latest Roland rompler thing than they are in the most complex analog polysynth ever created? I thought this was "vintage synth explorer?"
Can you imagine how big this thing would be if it was all eurorack modules?

Re: Korg Monotribe ?
Most of the things I mod, I ruin. I do it because it's fun/rewarding. So I do think modability makes for a better product, not because it's necessary to improve it, but because it's fun to try and improve it and pays off if you are successful.

You're right, it is not your problem. It's the problem of our friendly moderators in terms of determining whether that kind of behavior violates the forum terms of service and/or the attitude they would like to maintain here.zoomtheline wrote: I may be sounding aggressive to you but that is not my problem.

Re: Korg Monotribe ?
flood of harassing/insulting posts deleted by a moderator you seem to be under the false impression that I'm shitting on this product, when I've been posting non-stop in this thread for like 3 or 4 days about how awesome it is and how much I want one regardless of whether it is missing features tha...

Re: Korg Monotribe ?
a true modern incarnation of the MS10/MS20 (which is what the debate started from [and not just ANY analogue synth by definition]) I guess that depends on where you think "the debate started from." I agree with the general gist of your post, though. Gotta admit you nailed it when you speculated tha...

I said "almost pointless" in the sense of "limited in usefulness compared to/in conjunction with gear I already own."Neonlights84 wrote:I have analog synths and a sequencer, and yet I do not find this product to be pointless.

Re: New monster analog poly-synth
It's a joke. It was a mockup by some CG artist that people probably thought was real a few years ago. I think it was posted in this thread April 1?
Kinda reminds me of Solaris though. Wait, what were we talking about?

Re: New monster analog poly-synth
Video: http://www.sonicstate.com/news/2011/04/07/messe11-mother-of-god-its-the-schmidt-poly/ Should have called it the "Schmidt Polyschmidt" in my opinion. Evidently it's built by one person, Stefan Schmidt, and the one in the video is the only one. Does that make him a legend? Probably? He says he ...

Re: Korg Monotribe ?
all of your comparisons between a boutique synth manufacturer and Korg, and the followup "told-ya-so's" on the announcement of the monotribe, were totally irrelevant and the claims unfounded. The monotribe is slightly more expensive than the Atomo Mochika but in the same ballpark ... in other words...

Re: Korg Monotribe ?
"We" as in synth geeks are most certainly not the target demographic for the monotribe, in fact if you already own an analog synth and a sequencer as any good synth geek should, the monotribe is almost totally pointless beyond the fun factor. The monotron and monotribe are targeted specifically at p...

Pull your heard out of your a*s, i wasn't debating the between the difference between Analogue FM and sub audio rate LFO modulation. LOOOOOOOOL I didn't recognize the avatar. I'd rather not revive a pointless semantic debate started by a pedant (who hopefully isn't also another VSE poster) but how ...

Re: i followed the trend now i don`t know what to do
Now that's a good suggestionStab Frenzy wrote:And my suggestion is to spend time learning it all and then it will become obvious what needs to go.

I'm not a mind-reader but I can see how some of the gear listed could be redundant with other gear. But of course it's up to the OP to decide which he clicks with.
