I don't believe this has been posted here, but for fans of FM synths, this is an interesting "rebuild" of Yammy's classic 1U FM monster the TX81Z:

I can't find anything else about it, so it might be completely fake, but it's a cool idea.

Re: Arturia MiniBrute - analog monosynth
Amazona.de preview: (in German, but Google-translates fairly well) http://www.amazona.de/index.php?page=26&file=2&article_id=3824# Surely this is 3 OSCs + sub osc + noise? There's a mixer panel for the waveforms... Edit: Apparently it really does only have one VCO, but still an extra sub osc alongsi...

If not, that makes it useless to compose with. Yeah, but that has nothing to do with what he said......

Re: musikmesse 2010 Frankfurt
That being said... that new elektron box really excites me Had the same effect for me, for about an hour... then when it was properly "unveiled", it turns out the emphasis is on DJs and "producers". I have yet to see any evidence that it is possible to do any sort of traditional / chromatic sequenc...

Re: KORG ESX-1 vs KORG microSAMPLER
Irritatingly the ESX only has 2 "keyboard" parts, I'm getting desperate for an Electribe (or similar) that has multiple sample "synth" parts like that. I have not tried the MicroSampler, but I hear that when you sequence with it, it can only play one melodic / chromatic sample part AT A TIME. If thi...
