Re: Looking to boost the bass on a tr606, any ideas?

For anyone having a similar problem with tr606 part volume, I found the solution to the cymbal volume pot not turning down all the way. Upon inspection of the potentiometer, I found it was not grounding correctly due to a hairline crack preventing the outside pin from contacting the wiper. I don't h...

Re: Looking to boost the bass on a tr606, any ideas?

That's solid advice, the same thing occurred to me too. When I went to test it out; however, I discovered that the cymbal cannot be muted, i.e. when the cymb volume is turned all the way down it still comes through at a substantial volume, despite the volume knob still adjusting overall volume. I gu...

Looking to boost the bass on a tr606, any ideas?

I'm not looking to add a whole lot of control to the individual drum sounds [yet] and was more interested in a passive way of boosing the bass on the bass drum. Any ideas for more skull-crushing bass? I found this buried in the internets, but there seems to be some issues with the design: http://mac...

I like the price, but dang, it looks like it took a fall from the ugly tree and hit every branch coming down.

Re: Boss Dr110 din sync

I've been looking for the same information. All the sites I come across not longer exist. Its like the internet just forgot how to do it :/

ANY diy guides out there? People keep saying fitting the DR110 with din sync isn't hard, but no one says how. Very frustrating.

Re: Juno 6 stiky hold button

It could very well be an easy fix. I would pop the hood and clean the contact/switch assembly. Could also be a short on the board. Be careful not to flex the board too much when you take it out!

Re: Here is the Roland S-50 Library!

They can read from each others library, but have to use the "convert" function on the utility/system disk. I just found out the rave choir is not from the S-50 library, but rather from the original S-330 System Disk no.2, it contains orchestral sounds and one of them, "Ending 1", is the famous rave...

Re: Need some sort of talk filter

So I'm treating sample rate as if it were in an ADSR format?

Any recommendations on units or VSTs?
I found some simple ones on this site I'm going to try with cubase

Need some sort of talk filter

I was able to [basically] achieve a similar sound in the video intro with an sh101 and the KP3's talk filter [mod 4 setting]. I would like some more control over the filter sound, but am unsure what effects units or pedals to be looking at, or if "talk filter" is even the right term to describe this...

You're in for a h**l of a foamy weekend ;) A flat razor-blade and isopropal does wonders though.

Re: Rescued a Casio CZ3000

Scratch that. The Solaris arrived on Monday. The CZ3000 is a mere toy in comparison. You can still make some unique sounds with a CZ, like no other synth can. So it will always have it's place. I get the best guitar lead sounds from mine and do not have another synth that can take it's place. Here i...

Re: do you think MIDI interfaces are going obsolete?

But in reality, MIDI over USB is even worse - especially when trying to sync the LFOs or arpeggiators from your synth. With USB MIDI, the LFOs often drift out of sync because of dropped USB data packets. The Access Virus TI support forum is littered with rants from irate users who are unable to rel...

Got a sh101 from schmidtc. Very nice synth, and a pleasure to do business with. It was packed to survive nuclear fallout! Thanks!
