Re: [SOLVED!] Alpha Juno-2: Problems re-loading factory patc
I struggled a lot today with dumping my patches back into my Alpha Juno 2 after having changed the internal battery. Turns out that the MIDI channel needs to be set to the same MIDI channel that was used when you dumped the programs...

Anthem made using 4 tracker and TR808 to tring synths (vid)
Hello, I thought you may find this approach interesting enough to warrant a post here: I made a tune using only a 4 track cassette recorder and a drum machine triggering arpeggios on the synths. No sequencers or computers used (except for mastering). Only analog synths and analog drum sounds used. h...

Re: Kebu - To Jupiter and Back (album medley + VIDEO trailer
Thank you! I'm very glad to hear that you liked it! I'm using an Electro-Harmonix Small Stone phaser on the string machine sounds. It is just running free, but I did take a few takes of each song and chose the best takes for the record. Fortunately, the phaser is just so good sounding that most of t...

Re: Kebu - To Jupiter and Back (album medley + VIDEO trailer
Hi,
When you have the arpeggio triggering to a rhythm you cant add octaves to the arpeggio (1 or 2 octaves) and combine that with the up, down or up/down alternatives you will get interesting patterns, although you just play one note.

Re: Kebu - To Jupiter and Back (album medley + VIDEO trailer
Yes, I've kept track of all my expenses, and only bought used synths. Fortunately, the price for vintage synthesizers has slowly but steadily gone up, so I would get most of my money back if I sold everything now. But that won't happen - as long as I have a daytime-job (knock on wood)... ;) I haven'...

Re: Kebu - To Jupiter and Back (album medley + VIDEO trailer
Heh, that is a LOT! Tens of thousands of euros since I started my "hobby" (more like a half-time job) in 1995. But I started working on my own album just one year ago. Before that I've played keyboards and mixed in many different bands.

Kebu - To Jupiter and Back (album medley + VIDEO trailer)
Finally, my debut album is ready!! The album consists of music made only using vintage analog synthesizers recorded in the old fashioned way using only sequencers, tape machines and analog mixers. Here is a medley of songs from the album: http://soundcloud.com/kebu/to-jupiter-and-back-album Here is ...

Above&Beyond - You got to go (Kebu remix) (NOW WITH VIDEO)
Hi everyone! I'm participating in a remix competition for Above&Beyond's "You got to go". I saved only the vocals from the original track and remade all music using only analog synths. The analog synths and drum machines were controlled by a MIDI sequencer and mixed in realtime together with the voc...

Another new old-school synth music video by Kebu
I just uploaded the music video for my second single from my upcoming album on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXsvhXRdh74 http://soundcloud.com/kebu/kebu-pulsar I composed the tune already in 2008 and the tune is a tribute to one of my biggest influences, Jean Michel Jarre. Only analog synt...
