Re: Anyone having fun with the monotron yet?
That would require A LOT of multi-tracking but it's still awesome.isak wrote:look what u can do with no mods![]()

Re: What got you into synths?
I never could play guitar. Okay, maybe on an off topic tangent here, but i've never understood how some people can just not be able to play guitar? i've always though it was a pretty simple instrument. i don't mean to be patronising here, but what was it about it that led to you not being able to p...

h**l yeah!Cumulus wrote:I also like the Line6 DL4 for the same reasons plus the looping ability.
The DL4 is probably the most awesome pedal ever made. Ever. The emulations aren't all that good as emulations, but as their own effects, they're awesome, and the looper is great.

Re: Datavis - Rainfall Gradient
Well, before I listened, I thought "WOW! That is a wide wave.". And then I heard what I thought I would, noise in the background. Not that your track is bad by any means, but I'd suggest getting the noise down, especially if it's ambient. Unless of course it's what you're going for. Otherwise, cool...

Datavis-Rainfall Gradient (lo-fi ambient (techno)/drone EP)
http://datavis.bandcamp.com/album/rainfall-gradient Three ideas for an about section: "Lumbering drones trip over spastic, spritzy popcorn-machine percussion." "The sound of a dusty analog home keyboard fading in and out through the mightiest of 14-second, digital loopers." "An old—almost toyish—key...

Re: Modern Jupiter 8
$8000 is NOT the going rate, it's just what a couple of greedy assholes are trying to get for theirs. THEY WILL NOT SELL FOR 8K! hfinn is selling his for 6k... I think that is still steep. That synth isn't nowhere near worth 5k even in my eyes. I would rather buy a lot of things with that much mone...

Re: too many f**k samples
Reminds of a few weeks back when I stocked up on drum machine samples for use with AudioMulch - never used them, at all. I like being limited with the amount of instruments I have (just a synth, a delay pedal, a drum machine, and a mini-kaoss pad). It promotes experimentation and discovery - seeing ...
