Re: Roland JP-8000 Crashes When MIDI is Hooked Up

Weirdly, the rack version (JP-8080) has 2 midi IN. I obtained the same result while unfortunately sending the out into one of the ins through a patchbay... Silly me!

Basically who is going to check serial numbers.
Anyone ready to spend over 1K on gear should take a look at the SN. And all of you should keep a list of your own gear with pictures, for insurance or police purpose. Simply basics!

Why someone would pay more for a JX3P than a JX-10 is beyond me.
I would think that the simpler user interface (bringing more instant gratification) of the JX-3P and the firmware/midi bugs of the JX-10 might explain that. Also the cooler colors look... ;)

Well, I noticed this reply almost 3 years later... For future references to anyone, you should send a private message if you want to get a reply, because this way it sends an email notification to the poster. Unlike replying years later on the forum.. :/ Now this user's email isn't working anymore, ...

Re: Synthesizers with awesome arpeggiators

The Roland JP-8080 has a nice arp feature, and it sends it out via midi.

Re: Still possible to get a Juno 60 for a good deal?

You can't get a vintage poly with an built in arpegiator for a decent price these days. You might be lucky, like a friend of mine last year who got a Juno 60 with a stand for $60 CAD (buy the stand, and get a keyboard for free!), but you had to see the ad, answer it and go get it quickly before the ...

Re: Newbie and Korg Poly 61

The external arp needs a steady click input to operate. Like from a rim shot of a drum machine, or a loud track with clicks on it. I tested it with a special clock module when I had a P61M in my rig, and it did work.

Welcome to VSE! You should always check all the threads on a forum before posting, and it's better to start a new one than adding to a 11yo thread which might not even be directly related... Considering your problem, have you check this thread? http://forum.vintagesynth.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=62712...
