Re: Fairlight CMI app for iPhone.

I bought the Fairlight app this evening and upgraded to the Pro version for £23.99 Yikes!!! :o Anyway, this is a very interesting and nostalgic experience and the sounds are first class but I am very disappointed that there is no record function to record my own samples and that the wave drawing add...

Fairlight CMI app for iPhone.

Not only has this classic sampler been resurrected for the 21st century but it will soon be available as an app for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. I am so excited about this even though it will sell on iTunes for $49

Re: Here We Discuss Brian Eno's Use of Vintage Synths

Here is a video I uploaded to YouTube earlier this year of Brian Eno trying to use his broken Yamaha DX7 synths.

Re: Here We Discuss Brian Eno's Use of Vintage Synths

I read that Brian Eno was the only artist in the music world to know how to program a Yamaha DX7. His DX7 sounds on Apollo are breath taking.

Re: What is the synth on The Police's Oh My God

Cool :) I had a feeling it was a guitar synth considering Summers experimented a lot with Guitar but I wasn't sure. I wonder what the parameters on the guitar synth were.

Cheers

What is the synth on The Police's Oh My God

This is one of my favourite tracks from The Police album Synchronicity. Does anyone know which synth was used for the synth pad sound heard during the beginning, the verse and at the end of Oh My God?

I especially want to know the synth at 3.12

I read a couple of years ago that Scritti Politti's White Bread Black Beer was produced using Reason 3.

Re: Woo! Picked Up A TX7! Great Little Synth...

Yeah the whole Yamaha DX and TX line of synths are fantastic instruments. I am a proud owner of the DX7, DX7S and DX100. I really do enjoy programming my own sounds on those synths as the results can be unexpectedly surprising and rewarding. I also love my TG77 to bits. If you like your TX7 then try...

Yamaha DX7S internal battery nightmare!

The internal battery on my Yamaha DX7S recently needed replaced. I was worried about replacing it as it is soldered to the motherboard. However, I came across a website detailing how to replace the battery with a couple of wires and a CR2032 holder. I eventually bought the needed items to replace th...

Waldorf Blofeld firmware v1.15 - No USB

I'm wondering if other Blofeld users have the same problem. USB has been working great on my Waldorf Blofeld up until I updated the firmware to v1.15. Now that I have v1.15 there seems to be no USB. I have tried reconnecting the USB cable to a different port but get the same problem. I have also tri...
