Well, I think you'd be wise to check out the Roland FA-06, then. better than a v-synth ? Nothing beats the V-Synth ;-) Well, actually, for your purposes, an FA-06 would be better. money is kind of an issue, just takes longer to save up right.. a wide sound pallette is good. in the past with reason i'd always use synth sounds and real instrument sounds together.

i'll be purchasing an mpc soon

would it be best to buy a 16 multitimbral synth to sequence with mpc like the triton series or some other synth much more powerful but not multitimbral that i could sample

i would probably get a nice full size digital piano with midi out and hook up a rompler or some kind of rack type synth to it when gigging. Thanks. This really didn't occur to me as a possibility. i dunno about a 303 killer but this so easily could have been that. obviously it has a killer filter, and it's almost 303 like but they could have done it. imagine how many people would buy a 304?

if you get sick of 4 track recorders i'd recommend sony acid pro software. great for recording if you have all the hardware already.
