Re: Juno 6 stuck note problem when connected to soundcard

I use a generic instrumental cable to connect synth to the sound card with jack to mini jack dongle. The problem is that after I turn on the synth and connect it to PC, I get a strange continous sound that reacts to the changes of various synth controls, so I thought it must be stuck up note somehow...

Juno 6 stuck note problem when connected to soundcard

Hi knowdledgeble folks of vintagesynth! The problem occurs when I try to connect my Juno-6 through headphone or regular audio out to the computer sound board. On the recording it seems like a note is stuck and pressing keys has little effect on sound, although I can hear some change. I've tried two ...

Roland Juno-6 sound stops after several seconds

Hi. It seems I have a problem with my Juno-6: all of the sudden, when the note is played, it stops (or cuts off) abruptly after three or so seconds, regardless of settings (in my case all sliders, except the frequency one are set to zero, switches are in default positions). Same is happening in main...

Chips go for about $50 per each. There was some guy who was making new ones I think.

Re: Analog-modeling versus ... "Normal" synth?

@alanash I bet you make a piano-like sound on your SH-201, just don't expect it to be very realistic. Check a manual, maybe they got some instructions on how to make one. As for the piano vsti, you need a sound editing/recording program that supports those kind of plugins i.e. Fruity Loops, Cakewalk...

Re: eBay advice - Have a look here

Got a question about Best Offer feature. You know, once in a while you see huge BIN price and that another button nearby. So, does anyone had luck talking down the price or do the sellers put it up for a show? I never used one, only seen that offers were rejected by a seller.

Bought a brick-like toroid transformer today, and everything is working on 110 volt! Thanks for you insight.

Re: Polysix vs Polivoks

I won't compare the features, but in Russia, you could buy a Polyvox for $300-500.

Re: Juno 6 PSU question

Thanks for the answer, nathanscribe. Today I purchased the converter, but it's 220->110 volts and to my displeasure, on the back of Juno it says 100 volts. I guess it wouldn't work, right? If so, it seems to be a problem to find such an adaptor in my parts...

Re: Juno 6 PSU question

Bumping the thread. I'm about to buy Juno 6 with Japanese PSU and I have a 220v/50hz current. Is there a way to rewire that PSU or will I need to use it with a stepdown voltage converter?

Re: First time synth buyer seeks an advice from you...

Kurzweil PC3LE6 would be worth a look in, has their great sounding VA synth, plus heaps of other sounds, really good fx, sequencer etc. If I was in your position I'd be looking at that. Yeah, it's looks great, no doubt, all-in-one solution. It even has mellotron samples! If I find one on used marke...

Re: First time synth buyer seeks an advice from you...

Are there any other boards you are considering besides the Gaia? I've not actually tried the Gaia, but when I saw one in the store, it did look pretty well built and had plenty of controls. Heh, I have not had a chance to try Gaia myself. I've been to three different stores, including one dealing e...

Re: First time synth buyer seeks an advice from you...

Yes, virtual analog, or so they say. One thing about Gaia I've noticed - low volume output, could be critical during gigs, but I need more time to decide if it's worth my money. Dave Smith's machine is looking neat, but the price is really above my budget and I simply don't see any used device for s...
