Re: What synth have you bought more than one of?

Nord Rack 2 (my first proper synthesizer), I had its newer keyboard counterpart with the rack until I sold it. It was fun layering them. The rack 2 mutated to Waldorf XT (budget-wise) later on.

The owner says it's on sale for 1700 $. Even I would jump on it if I had the budget.

Re: Studiologic Sledge review

Taken from Waldorf mail list. Till Kopper's post. "as the .WPC file does load and play fine within the Blofeld Spectre app, I assume this will load fine into the Blofeld if you use the Blofeld Spectre app. And the SysEx file appears to be a Blofeld compatible one. Just change the third byte x15 to x...

Re: Best Digital Synth to Compliment Analog Setup

Yes, keys is a must! Anyone know if there is a Roland JV expansion withe D-50 sounds? It sounds like what you really need is a V-Synth with VC-1 card. You'll get a D-50 emulator and the original D-50 sound sets, plus an extremely flexible synth with sampling. It'll cost you more like $1000, well wo...

Re: Quality MIDI keyboard controllers still available?

Roland A series might fit the bill. Old ones too, (like A33, A70, A37 etc.) 76 is a good number for a synth controller imo.

Re: yellow Waldorf micro q?

If it's a micro Q, it's not 32 polyphony, it's better: 75 :D

Re: micrco Q vs blofeld

Someone said "Micro Q is similar to Blofeld but all the things said works!" I think the new Blofeld OS got most of the bugs out though. Micro Q has multi outs (3 stereo) and it's expandable to 75 voices which might help on multitimbral setups. No samples or filter curves though. I went the big Q rou...

Re: Why the V-Synth is the best thing Roland ever did

I thought V-Synth was an exaggerated synth by its users; until I got one. Boy I was wrong, VERY wrong.

11 years old synth with 2 gb CF sample support, tons of filters and fx. Good controls and keybed. I'll try to get VC-1 when I get the chance.

Re: Waldorf Micro Q/Blofeld

You can expand Micro Q to 75 voices, if you find an expansion board. That might be helpful for multitimbral situations. It also has 3 stereo outs.

Re: Jexus' review of the Alesis Andromeda is up

So if you want an analog and spent only on 1 synth, Andromeda can be "the one" despite the user interface madness. That's what he says. He's not flaming that much.
